Local Game Developer Dies in Tragic Accident because of two freaking idiots

Quote:
A North Vancouver video game developer has died in a head-on collision in which three people were killed, police in Washington state say.

Brian Wood, 33, who developed the game A Company of Heroes, died Friday on Whidbey Island when an SUV crossed the centre line on Highway 20, investigators said Monday.

Two passengers in the back seat of the SUV also died. Its driver and front-seat passenger are recovering in hospital and could face vehicular homicide charges, said police.

The driver was allegedly taking off a sweater while the passenger was steering the SUV, which veered into the oncoming lane and hit Wood's car, said Washington state trooper Mark Francis.

Wood's pregnant wife, Erin, survived and is also recovering in hospital.

The Relic Entertainment game Company of Heroes won several awards in 2006 for Wood, 33, who was Relic's lead designer.
Totally freaking ridiculous.

RIP to those who passed away, and I hope the two fucking idiots recover fully so they can be charged with vehicular homicide at the least.

As someone said in another thread, common sense isn't so common these days...
