Scammers don't get put in prison. It's a civil issue and you can only sue him. This guy will run up as much debts as he can and then declare bankruptcy. Good luck getting any money back once he does. The tax evasion angle, however, is a little more interesting.

And even then you can appeal that judgment and maybe get off with out any consequences at all. Go Canadian courts!!  Life in jail just wont happen in this country unfortunatly
