iPhone Keyboard Mod

Hello, i have an HTC Touch Pro/fuze/Diamond Pro/etc
as a peice of hardware it should be my ideal phone. But its painfully slow and its compatibility is less then ideal.

Now that the iPhone4 has just about everything in hardware form that i need, plus as an iPhone it can do any thing... EXCEPT I must have a physical keyboard, i must have my buttons!

Who can graph on a slide out/flip down keyboard to an iPhone4? How much$?

Physically having a keyboard attached to the case as if it was an OEM part of the phone. Its bad enough to have 3 things in my pockets let alone adding a stand alone keyboard.

oh but if you really must have a slideout keyboard. I'd get an Android phone with a slideout qwerty. It's not the same when you're half-assing a keyboard for a phone that wasn't meant to have one. You're not going to have access to shortcuts rendering your keyboard useless for anything other than typing. If you can wait for an Android Froyo based, snapdragon/hummingbird, retina-display equivalent coming out soon, I would.

Something like the HTC G2, but higher spec'd

or HSPA equivalent of the new HTC Vision

The idea is good but like what the post says. They should have slapped in an extended batt if they are gonna make the phone look so fat in the first place. Using BT and not the dock connector is also gonna be a huge battery drain especially for those who text or tweeter alot.

maybe it would be simpler to just flash a different phone with the iphone OS/Firmware lol
