350z http://www.madwhips.com/upload/image..._1-568-426.jpg Subaru's Look like riced up GM cars to me, nothing special at all with these boxes. 240Z - Ferrari design clone, the Ferrari looks great, this design is great if you like replica's jk, I love the design but the car would need lots of work to make it a grand tourer like the ZX is. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_aqdJkNjP_iM/TI...lIGAdY/fgg.jpg Infiniti G35This rounded Skyline again will look like a sedan next to the NSX, and there are lots of them in town like the newer shape BMW's. Other then that I like them. Toyota Celica This car tries too hard to look sporty, I wouldnt be proud to step out of my Celica to pickup a date. Like the Integra I photoshop-ed in my photo album, the Celica has lots of great potential and is one of the cars that I would consider building a kit around, just look at the Super GT kit someone made for it. | Way to state the obvious there bud. But to put aesthetics before performance is a bit naive, even though I did it when I was younger. You're simply nitpicking the cars that underscore posted based entirely on looks, yet the performance potential on all those cars can be easily discussed. There are cookie-cutter cars out there, but the RS meet was a prime example of personal taste and style for similar cars.
I can see where you're trying to go with this, but it's a little too much for my taste. Redesigning a front end from scratch takes work, but it's a bit wasteful considering that I have no issue with the 300ZX front end. GabAlmighty nailed it for me, facelifts work for some cars, but for this one, I don't like it at all.
Prime example of when facelifts don't work.

I think looks should come first and one can alway upgrade his or her suspension and horse power when its needed.

[Paul Walker] sounds like you really know your automotive design..
you should be at MIT or something[/Paul Walker]
your craftmanship and you dedication... gotta give you props for sure.
but as for your taste and design...? not my cup of tea
i personally think z32 300zx's look awesome just the way it is.
the design is very traditional 90's. so obviously it will look outdated right now.
the photoshopped rear end might help but you need to change the design on the door and a-c pillars as well.
otherwise it's going to look exactly like those japanese mistuoka kit cars.
and btw, i'm not actually 12. and even if i was, i would never tell my parents to buy a ugly kit car from you. no offense... rather spend my $50000 on a better looking, non hacked/butchered car from the factory

I think looks should come first and one can alway upgrade his or her suspension and horse power when its needed. | Suspension/wheel upgrades are one of the FIRST things most people do their cars. It's the starting point for getting the right stance of a car (as far as that's concerned anyways), stock bodied or not. Yeah, you have an awesome bodykit, but what's the point if you're running 4x4 ride height and stock wheels? The Hall of Shame can prove my point on that. Mild upgrades are always available.
For "affordable" cars, I'd post up something like the Toyota M/JZX-chassis (ie. Chaser, Mark II-see classifieds for an example), but you're probably gonna nitpick the fact that it's a boxy sedan, despite having a 1JZ motor.

In my case, my Zed is stock height, it looks okay to me.
Sexy curved cars were being made in the late 70's, this Ferrari modified kit is sexier then 90% of the cars in Vancouver! Quote:

the photoshopped rear end might help but you need to change the design on the door and a-c pillars as well. | The Zed is a beautiful car, the newer bumper makes it more modern too but I think infusing this Aston wide body would make it really modern and spectacular. I will be looking to make this set of kit for next year http://drivenauthority.com/kip/super3.jpg Quote:

edit, thanks for the compliments

in the end of the day, all show w/no go = gay, sleepers are where the money's at
if i pulled up to your 'aston martin' in my 4 door family car (300hp, which is regular for this day and age), i'd look at it, see that its CLEARLY not an aston (for one reason alone, there are windows on teh side of a car, so i can see in), the car would be all fart cannony, i'd laugh, you'd likely attempt a burn out to look cool... i'll just go about my day, probably outpaciing this 'aston martin' without even working teh engine
its a sad state of affairs when you think this is soemthing serious
for you - go for it, we can't knock your taste (you'll mature & will grow out of it... hopefully), but to think many other ppl, especially in vancouver where most ppl can ask their parents in asia for money, will buy a kit car aston... well, you're in for a lot of losses in teh coming years

I'ma be honest with you Arash, and I'm not usually mean spirited.
The idea, the look, and your argument are all hurting.
You may as well put a Nike swoosh across the rear window and call it a day. Yes, it's that gay.

Im a fan of the RX8 though | RX8 is a good car.. but majority of the people out there arent a big fan of its design overall.. it consists of some a mix of curves, edges and some odd shapes.. not that im complaining about the rotary shapes.
i for one dont really like the look.... the updated R3 does look cool though.
late model FD3S RX-7's are really really nice looking cars.
