a 7yr jump from last season is insane!
and there's only 8 eps this season? geeez
i understand its the final season but that's because i thought they had a plan to wrap up the story and not the attitude they seem to have of "oh no its the last season lets chop this up!"
I think this whole season has been underwhelming. The flashbacks they're showing should've introduced earlier in the series, not the last season. Especially with only 8 episodes, they need to focus on the present.
I enjoy these flashbacks because it brings Nucky and Gillian's story full circle. I was always wondering how Jimmy came about, so I enjoy it quite a bit. It's a shame they had to put that in during the final season with only 8 episodes, though.
I'm also loving all the screen time they're doing on The Commission. It'd be so awesome if HBO did a series on Al Capone and his rise, or a more in depth look at Luciano's rise to be the biggest crime boss in history.
Yea I agree with Chalky's ending. Was hoping he would go out with more of a bang.
The wire spoiler
Spoiler!
Kind of how omar got killed by that kid lol
That would actually be a pretty sweet series about Al Capone and Luciano. Maybe they're just trying to wrap up all of the more fictional stuff with Atlantic City?
I had no idea what happened in the real history of the prohibiiton, so I expected Nucky to use the stock funds he earned to buy Capone and his men to fuck up Luciano and Meyer lol
the last season was stupid. i didnt really like when they went back in time on nuckys come up.... felt pointless and a waste of show time. lol ah well it was a good show but the ending really blew chunks.

the guy Nucky is based on was also brought up on tax evasion charges (which could probably last a season on its own) and died in his mid 80's at a seniors home in the late 1960's
