| East Indians rocking harley club?
Is there a club or something? I've seen a bunch of young guys rocking hogs with no helmet just turban and maybe a bandana covering their lower face.

yes there are a few clubs around(you can see them during the Vaisakhi parades), and its true they are exempt from wearing helmets if they have a turban...
saw a guy driving a pretty nice harley today (not all chromed out) and it looked pretty nice...it was matted out with a nice murdered out look, think the wheels had a red "time attack" stripe
edit: think i found a pic of one like it

I don't know why you would WANT to be exempt from wearing a helmet.

Well if they ever get in a wreck and the turbin unravels it could be like skid marks. Would be sweet if it held together at 150 like pauly d's hair tho.

This happened about a month ago. I saw a brown guy riding a harley (he's in the left lane), the guy in the right lane was driving a solara convertible. They stop next to each other at a red light, the guy in the solara asks the brown dude "Hey man, shouldn't you be wearing a helmet?" The brown dude replies "Nope" and knocks on his turban. I couldn't stop laughing after that lol

well at least he'll already have a large bandage on when his head hits the pavement.
religion or not its kind of stupid. i'd rather not ride at all. or they could move to Hawaii. no helmet laws.

Taken from that website: Quote:
You cant ride a motorcycle without a helmet or a small mini-turban of just 1 meter. No, you have to have a full turban and the turban is very safe. Our forefathers have fought in the second world war along with the British soldiers. The fire coming in from the mortars, cannons and they've been handling that and it was very safe and it's still safe. A lot of people have died of head injuries while they were wearing hard hats and there are a lot of cases where people have had accidents, where the turban has saved any head injury at all. Still we believe in safety, particularly in riding in a group or riding in twos ultimately the type of precautions that we always take. When you are on a motorcycle, specifically if you are a turban Sikh, you have a turban on your head and you have to be more responsible. We all do follow and abide by all the rules and regulations about the traffic laws and other people merging and we just wave to other motorcyclists.
