JP Cellular closed down??
 

I went there today to get my phone unlocked and it wasn't open during regular store hours.... the lot attendant there said the store hasn't been open in days


had to go to phonemore instead :(

Been calling this place too. No answer, I think he closed down.
Any one know?

Maybe he went on vacation

he's always on vacation.. lol just go to bill tan upstairs.. quicker, faster and most of the time its much cheaper.

they did all my berry unlocks.. 15 mins:thumbsup:

i went to jacob for 3 different berries, 2 of those visits, there was tons of customers inside the store yet he manage to unlock mine in less than 5 mins

also awesome at applying screen protectors, always gets them a mint job

damn they were having their sale of iphone 3gs cases for $5 and had their iphone 4 for $10, i should have bought a secondary case for mine

I'm pretty sure the point of this thread is not to find alternatives, but to know what is going on with Jacob.

that being said I've been to him numerous times also and was planning on giving him a visit soon, so what's going on?

Maybe he went to line up for the new Iphone 4 at RC:D

I just called. Someone picked up. I asked how much is it to get a phone unlocked, they mentioned the price. I guess they still open :)

just got back from there. they ARE open.

bought a couple screen protectors and cases... i must say their application of screen protectors is phenomenal.

There's some old timers like darthchill, kardboard myself that can vouch for jacob he's awesome. Super fast service and quality customer service.

Sometimes he might be few bucks more but at then end you wouldn't have to go back and get it redone.

How much do they charge screen protector + application?

got a screen protector for blackberry torch and xperia x10. including application was $8 each.

got cases for xperia x10 and blackberry curve 9300. those were $10 each.

Just FYI the quoted price is sometimes more expensive than the actual cost.

I remember going in thinking it was one thing but ended up to be another.

i went there a couple weeks ago and they told me that they'd be going on vacation soon. so no, i dont think they closed down

i send customers from south surrey to find jacob..they come back, tell me its great service

come on man..south surrey to richmond..its a long drive

I live in Surrey and I go to Jacob only to get my stuff done. I just give him a call and drop off my stuff. Come back later or the next day and everything is done. I never have to go back for the same phone unless it's a new problem.

But I'm one of the oldschool phone guys so what do I know. :rolleyes:

Man back in the day I went to Jacob so many times just to flash my 903sh to different firmware, but I stuck with euro lol.

Jacob as unlocked 3 of my phones.

Excellent service and is extremely fast. Not much of a talker though.

i went to Bill Tan and he marks up his housings quite a bit...went back to Jacob and he did 10 or so dollars off with it INSTALLED...never went anywhere else

I wonder if Jacob can unlock the 4.1 version
