Cellphone (iPhone) Repair shop/iPhone warranty

I just picked up a iPhone 3GS with glass and LCD shattered. I just want to hear some reviews of JP Cellular or any recommendations to other shops.

I did a quick search online and found that price is generally uniform, so I'm looking for a shop with good reputation that can get it done right. Preferably some where in Richmond/Vancouver.

Side question:
If the warranty is still in effect for the phone, can I use it? Or does the original owner need to transfer it to me?

Also, I heard complaints of OS4 running slowly/laggy on 3GS/3G. Is there anyway to update to the latest firmware on OS3?

JP Cellular is awesome.

In all seriousness, I've never met someone that does the job faster or better than Jacob.

Just make sure you give him a call before going, he may need to get the parts for you!

Why don't you do it yourself? So much cheaper! You prolly will save half of what you pay to the store.

Source: I fix my iphone myself. I broke the lcd and I had to replace both the digitizer and the lcd. It was easy but just takes time so you don't mess up. Saves you money too.

The iPhone is still under warranty. What are the chances of Apple covering it under warranty?

The iPhone damage looks like this

Everything works, the home button, MIC, everything except the touch screen.

Chances of Apple covering that under warranty? 0%

Going to be expensive since you need the LCD and Digitizer glass
