With Staples you have catch them when they have their 50% off office chairs sale. I've bought 2 over the years, both times during that sale. Works out to be an awesome price and they generally have a good wide selection of different types. Costco's usually good too.

Would this be considered a deal then? Not being sarcastic: STAPLES | BUREAU EN GROS

Ebay's your best bet. If any local vendor carry them....they would be pretty pricey.

But please don't get them. The "LED" part is not as cool as you think.
Save up for the money, and get a proper retrofit instead.

It's $8 man,how much cheaper do you want it to be.Personally I would not trust a drainbolt other than a OEM one for the car and I certainly would not trust a $2 drainbolt.

But since you asked, check a autowreckers, they might even just give it to you free.

Not really, I think that's just a chair they've put on sale at half price, but not their actual "50% off sale" where all office chairs go on sale. You can get a much better deal since you have so much more to choose from during that sale. I even had free shipping to my office (in store purchase, don't know about online)

sand your current glossy/dealer branded ones with sand paper. What i did to mine, looks great imo

use ~250 grit? Should come out matte black and take off all the gay letters

Serious. Get one of these.

Fumoto Valve | Qwik Valve™

They will last for ten lifetimes. You can pass them on to at least the next five generations.

I have them on all my vehicles. Once on, they are good to go. Oil change is a snap. Just open the valve and Voila!

Beauty is, if you overfill by mistake, just open the valve long enough to correct your boo boo. Great for oil analysis - just drain some whenever you feel the need to get your oil check out.

Edit: oh yeah, I recommend you get the one with the hose nipple, unless your car is uber lowered, or the drain plug sticks out in an angle.

spyker 08-28-2012 03:05 PM

MG1,if he's too cheap to spend $8 on a drainbolt,I higly doubt he is willing to spend $30+ and shipping for the Fumoto valve.

couldnt the valve open up on its own? or if ye hit something etc?

Energy 08-28-2012 04:40 PM

The chances of that happening are very very low. Maybe if you were driving through some wire and a piece of it just somehow gets in the right spot?

I had it on my old car for 2 and 1/2 years and changing oil was super convenient.

StylinRed 08-28-2012 05:18 PM

thanks think im going to grab a couple

looks like they sell a clip to stop it from opening accidentally too (suggested for extreme environments)

HondaGuy 08-28-2012 05:19 PM

Thanks mg1 for the tip first.

I've been reading the site and it has a safety lock that needs to be lifted up before turning = so should be safer.
I dunno but I thought the same...neat idea though.

What would you guys consider when buying a chair and what price do you think is appropriate?
