But since you asked, check a autowreckers, they might even just give it to you free.

They will last for ten lifetimes. You can pass them on to at least the next five generations.
I have them on all my vehicles. Once on, they are good to go. Oil change is a snap. Just open the valve and Voila!
Beauty is, if you overfill by mistake, just open the valve long enough to correct your boo boo. Great for oil analysis - just drain some whenever you feel the need to get your oil check out.
Edit: oh yeah, I recommend you get the one with the hose nipple, unless your car is uber lowered, or the drain plug sticks out in an angle.

MG1,if he's too cheap to spend $8 on a drainbolt,I higly doubt he is willing to spend $30+ and shipping for the Fumoto valve.

The chances of that happening are very very low. Maybe if you were driving through some wire and a piece of it just somehow gets in the right spot?
I had it on my old car for 2 and 1/2 years and changing oil was super convenient.

Thanks mg1 for the tip first.
I've been reading the site and it has a safety lock that needs to be lifted up before turning = so should be safer.
I dunno but I thought the same...neat idea though.
