Anyone know where to buy a study cubicle desk, similar to what they have in the library at UBC?

^UBC, for free!

But no, your best bet is to call a public library and ask them since they also have them. I'm sure they get them in bulk, but it'll get you somewhere if you're dead set on buying one.

If you want to cheap out just buy a small wooden desk and nail some boards to the side

Off topic, but what are the rules for posting links to other sites that sell things?

I had a post deleted when I linked to Ikea once =/

Anyone know of a place I can get custom picture frames made in the lower mainland on the cheap? I got quotes from a store in White Rock but the prices were stratospherically ridiculous (because White Rock )

I have a couple autographed posters I'm trying to frame, all with irregular sizes. 20x25, 20x15 and 11x17, so I obviously can't find any frames with size.

^if you haven't already, go to google maps, find your general area, and search custom framing. I did it for new west and there are 2 stores that look promising.

it'll probably take a bit of calling around though.

Also, if you want to take a different approach, you can buy 3 frames that are larger than 20 x 25 and center each poster. Depends on your needs/tastes

Custom framing is tough.

I had a bunch of motorcycle and car posters that needed framing. I went to a handful of different shops and got quotes. They were pretty damn expensive especially when you start picking different frame materials and colours etc.

In the end, I got my framing done at DeSerres on Grandview Highway for a decent price. I can't give you an exact price quote as my posters varied in size. If they have a frame in stock and it works with your poster - great. You save big. But if you need custom options - it gets expensive. Fast. Best you go in person to get a quote.

The general rule goes: If there's a sponsor for it, recommend them. If they can't do it, recommend others. Or just be general and vague if you're not totally sure.

Oh, and no "PM me".

Something like these? It's a gift for a birthday, would have gotten these at some gag gift shop, but I can't find them anywhere.

Lookin for large polystyrene foam blocks about 2x2', could be insulation foam but I need it at least 6 inches thick. Most stores seem to carry 1 inch thick
