I saw a HUGE one (similar to the one brought to Connor's Day Meet, I think) at Metrotown Winners in Burnaby

If you want a DIY system, Costco sells pre-packaged kits with everything you need. But the Costco in the states has waaaaaay better deals on them. IIRC the costco here has a 2 camera kit, but the bellingham costco has something like 6-8 camera system for $100 more, same brand.

Costco sells overpriced shit.

IIRC this man does security systems and the like professionally.

Perhaps a PM would be in order?

I believe it. Now that you mention that, I think I remember my coworker saying he saw them somewhere like Princess Auto or KMS or something, too.

Looked up the ETIP - nice, but a bit over the budget, and probably too bulky. It's a gift for the BIL; he's a transit/bicycle cop and needs something a little more suitable to work.

Any thoughts on these Burton gloves? Burton Touchscreen Liner Gloves Mens - SportChek.ca

Edit: after conferring with my sister, we ended up with the Northface ETIP ones as being the best option - with the "everything 20-60% off" sale, they came in just within budget. Really nice gloves, too.

Thanks, all!

wobuffet 12-23-2012 02:36 PM

those burton ones look nice ;)

Fak... who knows where you can get Seattle's Best Coffee beans/ground? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere - Save-On? Safeway maybe? Tried Superstore... their website says Walmart carries it, but we didn't find any there...

GLOW 12-24-2012 07:29 AM

i could have sworn i've seen seattle's best around too. i only go to superstore and safeway so i would suggest give safeway a shot

I saw a very similar one, if not identical, at the new Canadian Tire on Marine Drive in Vancouver.

how about the kiosks that sell stuff like that. There is one in Lansdowne by the food court and one in the City Square mall at 12th and Cambie

There's probably two or three of those kiosks in every mall in town.

As for the teddy bear, Cambodian Tire has this: Jumbo Plush Teddy Bear | Canadian Tire

Seattle's Best pulls out of cafe biz in java-loving Vancouver

I was wondering what happened to Seattle's Best....... they used to be in Safeways. Starbucks has taken over. I would imagine Safeway would be your best bet. I will keep an eye out for it when I go last second shopping today.

Beds Baths and Beyond, Home Outfitters, etc. I like the Ove Glove. They sell those at Zellers, Bay, Canadian Tire, just about everywhere.

Look in newspaper flyers for 20% off coupons. Beds Baths and Beyond take all competitors coupons and so do Home Outfitters and Winners. Sign up for Beds Bath and Beyond e-mail notifications. I get one coupon every two or so weeks.

Soundy 12-24-2012 09:34 AM

Safeway's website doesn't list anything :( Neither does Save-On. The SBC website says Walmart carries the packaged coffee but there was none to be found at the PoCo store. Maybe I'll check out a different Wally-world in my travels today...

Has anyone seen bean bag chairs locally? something a decent size for a 5-10 year old, and not too expensive? I have searched every store I can think of without finding anything. Toys-R-Us had some but they were tiny

KingDeeCee 12-24-2012 11:18 AM

ModGSI sells beanbag chairs. Around $60. The Bay sells them too, but at $100.
