Yes, all it takes is doctor's notes and it's taken care of. They know what to do and what it takes........

Anyone know where I can get the scraper handle part?
I check Home Depot and Rona, but they only have the pocket size ones that is retractable.

MG1 07-15-2013 08:12 PM

Damn, saw it somewhere recently. KMS Tools, Princess Auto, or Summit Tools. That kind of stuff won't be at Home Depot, Rona, or Crappy Tire.

The shit I find out about in here is incredible. Loads better than using silicone seal. I wonder if a place like Acklands Grainger has it.

Perhaps Lordco? We have people on RS who work there.

I'd like to know where to get the stuff.

having to use cauking gun? yuk, no thanks.

fliptuner 07-17-2013 10:46 PM

jc95, call Lordco by Metrotown and talk to someone at the paint and body desk.

Or if you want to use it from a caulking gun, go to local hardware store and find acoustic sealant. It's also butyl rubber based.

MG1 07-17-2013 11:22 PM

I have some of that acoustic sealant stuff at home. Good stuff. I guess it'll work on headlights.

Where to buy chipotle sauce? couldn't find any it at my local safeway.

MG1 07-17-2013 11:29 PM

Can't believe Safeway doesn't have any. Walmart has a Chipotle BBQ sauce.

Superstore has a bunch of different ones. Save-On, too. I guess anywhere except Safeway, LOL.

You can always get the good stuff at places like Galloways or Gourmet Warehouse.

For bench dispensation.. I use a small linear actuator instead of the spring in a gun.. it makes the flow much much smoother.

Air powered, my favourite method. Not practical, if no compressor.

I've always wated to try my Iwata air brush compressor for caulk gun, but have no need to caulk anything at the moment.

godwin 07-17-2013 11:57 PM

I like arduino + linear actuator / servo motor combo because I can modulate for different elasticity / force.. The package is more manageable than pneumatics because I just lop off the end of a caulk gun, weld the actuator at the end and bob is your uncle. I use cordless drill batteries to power the system. I prefer punching in dispensing cm/s and let the processor and servo do the rest vs setting and modulating psi.

interesting....... I have an arduino board. Now, the question is, how often do I use a caulk gun to make it worthwhile. I like the idea of incorporating the arduino. Robotics caulk gun.

Where do you get your arduino parts? On-line or locally.

doritos 07-18-2013 12:58 AM

anyone know where I can purchase these squeegees locally? 5" BLUE MAX SQUARED SQUEEGEE BLADE

godwin 07-18-2013 01:10 AM

It depends what parts.. most of the stuff I have on my bench already. I usually reuse the arduino board after I verify the machine, I would layout a proper PCB to be a bit more efficient.
