Where can i get a rubber gromet?

Google Image Result for http://www.rubber-o-ring.com/uppics/201359839810017.jpg

Checked both Home De Pot and Cambodian tire and none of them have it.

MG1 09-10-2013 10:51 AM

^ Princess Auto has them - made by Grote.

You can also get them at Lordco, Acklands-Grainger, NAPA, Fastenal, etc.

jtanner_ 09-10-2013 11:11 AM

I know you mentioned you checked, but Home-Depot has them?

H. Paulin | 1/2 Rubber Grommets | Home Depot Canada

Almost all stores in the lower mainland are showing for stock on hand in various sizes..?

Home Depot and Rona are notorious for lousy inventory. If I got a dime for every time they've fucked up, I'd be as rich as Francesco Aquilini.

Hondaracer 09-10-2013 05:38 PM

Rona is wayyyyy worse holy fuck are they terrible

We are building a project right near the fleet wood Rona and the sales people there are worse than anywhere I've been. I once asked the guy working tools if they has a grease gun, he then asked me what I was trying to do..I said well if that matters I'm trying to grease an excavator.. He looks at me hmm..ok...I'm like yea it takes THESE tubes of grease *hold up the tube I found on the shelf

He then says "ok..well what kind of things will you be using the gun on?

Things with grease nipples...

Hmm well if the gun wasnt with the grease then I guess we don't have it

They do not carry -anything- even the one head sales guy told me straight up Rona does not stock items on an on-demand basis, they simply stock items that their suppliers provide them with

That's one of the reasons Rona in Abbotsford is closing its doors. Below par service and poor stock. It's hard to have knowledgeable people working at these places. Anyway, if anyone is anywhere near Abbotsford, Rona is having a closing out sale. Prices are high to begin with, but nuts and bolts are 50% off right now. Seeds and fertilizers were 40% off. I'm waiting for prices to go lower, because even at these discounts, they are not a huge bargain.

I went to the Home Depot in BBY, I asked the guy at the door where the "rubber gromets" were, and he told me the isle number. Went down that isle and didn't find anything. Asked the next guy I saw, pointed me in the next isle and nothing. Found a third guy and asked and he said they didn't have them or their in the first isle I went into. So useless.

I didnt want to go to Lordco cause they tend to be a little on the expensive side, but I have never been to Princess Auto and this would be a perfect reason to go.

Look closer, Home depot has them.
Hennings location, they are int he bolts, screws and nuts section, there's only 3 bins that have the gourmets.

MG1 09-11-2013 12:20 PM

No, no, no................ go to Princess Auto. It's the Canadian thing to do. It's like a whole new world. It's a hangout for rednecks. I shit you not. You have to go, man.

When you're there, check out the surplus section.

How much you enjoy the place depends how Canadian you are, LOLOLOLOL.

melloman 09-11-2013 01:16 PM

^^ Completely agree.

Downside for Princess Auto (like KMS Tools) is when I walk in thinking I will buy 1 thing.. I walk out with 5-10 things, and my wallet is alot lighter. :okay:

fliptuner 09-11-2013 05:55 PM

It's ok, mello, keep the receipt, lifetime satisfaction warranty.

Yes I'm quite sad that these are gone now.

From time to time I'll stop at random little markets/stores and see if they have any old stock lol. No such luck yet though.

artmotion 09-11-2013 09:35 PM

While we're on the subject of nong shim snacks, anyone know where I can get these locally?

Looking for mints in a portable packaging. I like altoids, extras, the like, but I need something that can fit comfortably in my jean pocket. Suggestions?
