Depends on the weight of the TV and whether you're swinging it out off the wall. If it's an LED and it's going on a flat mount so it's never far from the wall, you're probably okay with some standard drywall screws into the steel studs, because there won't be a lot of linear force on the screws.

Thing with toggles is, you usually have to drill a pretty big hole for them, which would be most of the width of the stud if you're going through that... and if you're just going through the drywall, you won't have as much strength behind them.

I'd say just drywall screws (the fine-thread type for steel studs), and think of the stud itself as a REALLY BIG-ASS toggle :)

One other thing: pick up some stick-on felt furniture pads, like this:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51i7jrlY7dL.jpg

Stick those to the back of the mount before you put it up, so the soft side is against the wall... that will help prevent (or at least minimize) damage to the paint should you ever need to take the mount down... otherwise it will bring big sections of paint and drywall paper down with it.

These toggle bolts are awesome. They are called snap toggles.

TOGGLER[REG] SNAPTOGGLE[REG] BB 1/4"-20 Heavy-Duty Toggle Bolt | Fastenal

You drill your hole, feed the toggle through, then zip this plastic part down to the base of wall. You then snap the rest of the plastic off. It's clean and simple and has really good holding strength. Meant for hollow mounting, of course.

If it's for a halloween costume, why would you need a legit one?

Real ones aren't cheap.

I legit one will cost around 70 dollars. Look for disposable ones. They are used for patients who are on contact precaution.

They are plastic but don't look ridiculous and actually work :)

You can listen to a woman's chest before.. :ifyouknow:

Try second-hand/thrift stores like VV Boutique or Sally-Ann.

Hey let me know if you find one ... I need one as well lol :okay:

Acura604 10-28-2013 12:19 PM

need ORANGE floodlight bulbs for Halloween night...I want to dress up the house a bit and change out the super whites to orange.

I've found RED...but kinda want orange. instead of flood light bulbs, I might be able to get by with regular orange bulbs? dnot really wanna bother with trying to find orange filters or stuff.

tried cdn tire, home depot and lowes with no luck.

EDIT: i'm not going to change out the bulbs along the roof line (those will be OFF) ..just the ones above the garage door and the 2 above the main entrance.
