Ikea and Home Depot usually have real trees. Usually if the tree is $20, they'll also give you a $20 of $100 purchase coupon.. not the best type of coupon, but it's better than nothing.

If you're looking for a tree with the dirt/roots.. I think you're a little screwed. Even at places where you pick the tree yourself, I'm pretty sure you still chop it down. You don't uproot the whole thing..

I would go to David Hunter Trees | davidhuntergardencenters.com

Maybe he is looking for a potted christmas tree. It has roots and dirt LOL

Where can i get a 0.24 OHM 1W resistor?

MG1 12-04-2013 09:38 AM

I was going to say, "Lee's Electronics, Main Electronics, RP Electronics, your old high school........... just keep your eyes off them LG's, LOLOLOLOL."

BUT.......... 0.24 ohm and 1 watt? Man, that's pretty specialized stuff.

Im absolutely clueless when it comes to electrical shit but a forum said i need those, so im going with that :lawl:

Apparently 0.12ohm 1W works aswell so if anyone knows thanks a bunch!

Anyone know where to find a local store that sells novelty items/clothing from movies and TV? Don't want to ship from amazon..shipping costs are as much as the items.

if your looking for novelty items like movie props and such, theres a place in Burnaby that rents/sells them. its near production skytrain station. ive bought a few random items from there before hahaha...can end up in there for hours just looking at props from movies.

Thanks, that's really cool but not quite what I'm after.

Just pretty basic TV show related products and tie-ins. Tough to find merch for TV shows in brick-and-mortar stores though.

Call RP Electronics. I'm pretty sure they'll have it. They are on Rupert and Grandview Hwy. Same building as Sprott Shaw College (across from Trail Appliances).

Lee's Electronics has a large selection of resistors, as well. They are on Main Street. Hipster country.

What exactly is this for? .12 ohm is half the resistance of .24, you'd need two in series to equal the same... current flow through .12 will be double so chances are you'd need either a 2W version, or you can get away with a 1/2W .24 ohm.

Ohm's Law ain't rocket science :)

LP700-4 12-04-2013 09:02 PM

Upon further reading it looks like you are right Soundy. Either one .24 or two .12, apparently watts don't matter

Its for modding my turn signal relay to be able to use LED's as turn signals without hyper flashing.

I didnt like the idea of putting resistors in all 4 corners so i thought this would be a better solution.

jing 12-04-2013 09:16 PM

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a new flasher from Superbrightleds.com instead

Aware me on the sweet sauce they use on Indian food. What is it called? I get my fix of Aloo Tiki, Veggie Pakora, and Samosas at Dhaliwal Sweetsw in Abby. They give you this sauce with the order. I love it t odeath and use it on nuts, almonds and just about everything else. I asked them where I can buy the stuff and they told me only through them. I get it, that they make their own special sauce, but I would like to make my own. What is the sauce called and what are the ingredients? They call it sweet sauce..... is that the name? LOLOLOL

Search for an "LED Decoder".

Seems to be becoming much more popular than using resistors.

RESISTORS 1W 0.22OHM 5% 10PCS - Lee's Electronics

There's .22 :sooo close; might have some .24 behind the .22 on the racks.

Watts do matter depending on how much current you're pushing through the resistor.

edit: main elec has 1/2w .24ohm

I can ask my grandma how to make it but god does it smell bad when its getting made it also takes a long time

Edit: Most Indian sweet shops make there own and sell it so you could go to any Indian sweet shop and they should have it basically anyone that sells samosa has chutney(sauce).

MG1 12-05-2013 10:49 PM

OK, I'll continue to get mine from the sweet shop. I really like theirs. It's cheap enough.
