I got some at sears before I went to Europe 3 years ago. They're super sleak and skinny.
Also found some at a dollar store but they are more bulky and flashy.

Home Hardware if you need it immediately. (http://www.homehardware.ca/en/rec/in...1057533?Ntt=t5)
Online (DealExtreme, etc) if you can wait 3 weeks

There was a kiosk at Oakridge Mall called "Simply Different" that had it, but they moved/lease expired, and I can't find them. Any ideas where?

hey so I just moved to my new place and Ive been doing some furniture shopping for the past 2 months.. anyways you can get that lamp at:

1. Mobler (check out upstairs) its beside IKEA in Richmond <<wicked deals all the time on all modern min. furniture>
2. Scan Furniture (in Coquitlam) I think its on same side as Princess Auto .. I think its Brunette ave.(They have 2 or 3 diffr Arco lamps)
3. Home delight (Richmond as well on the other side of IKEA) thay have 3 different lamps like that. oh since you are going there buy me Globe CHair man! =)
4. HOme Quarters (Richmond right across from Superstore) they have black and white base; so choice is yours. If you do go there talk to Wayne( asian dude that lived in Norway; I always talk to him for a while about "stuff" and get crazy discount)

Thanks!

I looked at 2 of the modern furniture places by Richmond Ikea, yet should have went in Home Delight. I didn't even realize it was there.

I found an online retailer with their warehouse 1 block from my work, so got a good discount for picking it up. $325 vs $400 at most other places.

I love the Globe chair too, yet its too big for a condo. I really want an Eames chair and ottoman, plus a Navy Chair (the chair from Britney's Stronger video).

High quality butane as in the kind you use in portable soldering irons?

RP Electronics - Weller.

Home Depot, CT, just about anywhere they sell soldering irons.

Anyone know where I can get neoprene bands/straps? I'm not looking for anything specific just a band or strap that closes with Velcro. I've checked canadian tire, sportchek, sears, and newbalance websites but they all are for specific parts like the knee, ankle or wrist. I'm just looking for a solid band that has Velcro or maybe even slip on.

You mentioned slip ons. I use this stuff and it's great. Not neoprene, so might not be what you are looking for.

If you are interested in this stuff, there is a store on Oak Street that sells this stuff. They give you discount if you buy more than one.

The products are made right here in Richmond.

Can someone tell me where Deoxit is available locally or recommend a similar contact cleaner that can be found locally (why is Deoxit so highly recommended anyway)?

My vintage amp is acting up and I'd rather buy a tube of this stuff than go down to the shop for them to spray it down.

godwin 03-09-2011 01:15 PM

RP Electronics, Active Electronics, or any place that carry MG chemicals
