I bought a Takoyaki appliance from japan for cheap (100v 1000W)

Is it necessary for me to get a step down Power transformer?

If I do, where can I pick one up for cheap locally?

jtrinh 11-03-2014 07:10 PM

The Source or Walmart ^^

Thanks!

Before Halloween, I saw some at Value Village while looking for a costume.

(The hats were new btw lol)

Maybe if you go soon, they might still have some left?

godwin 11-03-2014 08:35 PM

If the appliance is from Japan you need to check the frequency 50 or 60Hz

If it is 100V you should be okay, depending on what kind of appliance it is.

Go to RP electronics, they should be able to help you.

Possibly London Drugs computer department..... phone first

I was going to suggest Home Depot or Cambodian Tire, which are close, but those places probably won't carry the small T-6 size.

Computer shops that fix Apple computers should have a bunch of spares to sell you one.

I got a multi piece kit from CT ages back that had all the small Torx bits so they might be the best place to check first.

The source should have it or spa Radio shack if they are still around.
Call any electronics store. Try Main Street electronics.
