They are excellent. I get the blacks ... smoking these while drinking makes you weak in the knees, a whole 'nother feeling :sweetjesus:

in terms of flavor, the filter has a spicy taste to it that's pretty unique. The cloves give the smoke a spicy aroma as well. They are packed pretty tight so they burn real slow. Overall, my favorite to puff on when drinking. Going down to the states to visit a friend and go barhopping, and he requested I bring a pack because they're banned down there

Good smoke shop IMO, they also had a very good selection of Cubans and smaller parejos which a friend introduced to me -- they're a close second to the djarum blacks when drinking

Aberdeen? I haven't noticed them lately, but I always saw them at the kiosks that sold assorted 'cute' knicknacks at the malls. I think I last saw them at Oakridge, but that was months ago.

My gf and I have that exact pillow case and I got it from here http://www.twoogifts.com/?cat=2

They used to have a store front on west broadway but it recently closed down. Their site is still up, so try contacting them and maybe you can arrange for local pick up?

FatalCloud 12-10-2014 04:30 PM

thks jtrinh. did you get it online or in the store? if online, did you arrange for pickup? ... i emailed them.....couldn't find them in aberdeen.

also are you happy with the pillowcases in terms of quality material etc? ...

I bought it from their store when it was still open. Very happy with the pillowcases. The print/stick figures has held up over many many years. They've just faded ever so slightly, not peeled away. The cases aren't rough to sleep on either. Id definitely buy another set.

I smoked for a short period of time, and though I've stopped even still when I am out drinking and get a nice buzz going, I still crave a cigarette real bad. That first puff :sweetjesus:

Them djarum blacks are tasty. Leave your lips sweet too.

A good coffee tumbler, i.e. one that will keep hot for hours. I thought about getting one from teavana but the person that it's for doesn't drink tea, but drinks a lot of coffee.

sonick 12-10-2014 09:33 PM

I've used this starbucks one for years and it is great. Very nice quality, heavy duty waterproof lid, keeps liquid warm for hours. I've seen the brown version available at local starbucks:
Stainless Steel Starbucks® Tumbler - Pewter, 16 fl oz | Starbucks® Store

Lowered_Klass 12-10-2014 11:13 PM

^ Agreed.

The stainless steel insulated mugs are the way to go. Worth the price IMO, because I HATE cold coffee lol

Are the starbucks ones better than Contour or other brands, if you have tried them too?

underscore 12-11-2014 07:58 AM

Odds are the Starbucks one is a rebranded one made by somebody else, although for $20 it's probably not worth the hassle of sorting out who makes it for them.

We do CCA Coffee Mugs every year for one of our events. I try out a LOT of sample mugs. Still haven't found a mug that keeps coffee as hot as my Starbucks SS mug. Add the fact that their lids don't pop open when you drop the cup. Just make sure the lid threads on, not a push on.

Where can I buy See's Candies locally? I know they are a states thing or order online, but don't want the hassle.

TIA!

There are three options:

http://www.edinburghwhiskyblog.com/w...airn-Glass.jpg
Glencairn Crystal Whiskey glasses are the first. They have a large bowl for swirling and a narrow mouth so all the aromas are directed to your nose.

http://www.sweetpeachblog.com/storag...=1361803784413
A wide mouth glass which allows for easy swirling, adding ice and toning down the aromas of stronger whiskey/bourbon. Plenty of varieties and shapes are available, if you stick to something simple like pictured it is timeless. Buy round ones, swirling in square glasses doesn't work.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_IlRorxk8pn...+Trail+079.jpg
A 1.5-2.0 Ounce heavy bottom shot glass. Simple in design, and used more in movies and TV shows then any serious bourbon drinker I know. But hey, if you want that Boyd Crowder look and feel, you drink from one of these.

In each design you can find a million varieties in a million different places in vancouver.

Thanks Dave, I think I'm leaning towards the 2nd option unless I find the 1st in a slightly different design, not feeling that specific shape of the glass. As for the 2nd option, is it better to get ones that are kind of like double walled along the sides(or with thicker sides)?
