You can find them at Walmart.

off to walmart tmr then I guess!

thanks all!

Yep, those work all right. These were from a storage room at my parents' place a few months ago.

looking for something like this. my exhaust has a little bit of a leak

GrimmSpeed Downpipe to Catback 3" Gasket 2X THICK - GrimmSpeed

fliptuner 01-29-2015 02:44 PM

Collar locks - Pacific Fasteners, Acklands Grainger, Fastenal, might even luck out at Princess Auto
-make sure you have the shaft size on hand (heh heh) when calling/ordering.

Exhaust gasket - Lordco, Mopac, most exhaust shops, etc.

If you want just a standard gasket, go to Lordco, and ask for Vibrant 1458. It's just a standard 3" exhaust gasket with bolt holes that will fit, so not guaranteed to fix your leak if your flanges are bent. If you want to be sure to solve your problem, ask for Remflex part number 8007. Pretty sure they stock that in the warehouse. Torque the bolts to 20ft lbs when you put it back together.

Some info on Remflex:

These exact collars are distributed in Canada by RotoPrecision. They've got a Vancouver warehouse/sales location:

"RotoPrecision’s DSD Vancouver Branch is located in Coquitlam, B.C., roughly 40 minutes from the Vancouver Airport. This branch was opened in the early 1970s and continues to operate as a primary sales office and stocking location."

DSD Branch: Vancouver (Coquitlam), British Columbia
81 Golden Drive, Unit 105A, Coquitlam, B.C., V3K 6R2
Phone: (604) 942-1240
Fax: (604) 942-1238
Toll Free: 1-800-680-7686

40 minutes from the Vancouver Airport?

How close is it to the Abbotsford Airport?

Just buggin' ya. It's from their website.

For the rest of us who don't know where the airport is, the place is located between Planet Ice and Reliable Parts in Coquitlam. For guys like me........ it's a five minute drive from the Hard Rock Casino. LOL.

Princess Auto, they have the best prices on these, and similar connectors. Those these are even worse than T-tap connectors (which Princess Auto has as well). Way better than Lordco, Can Tire, etc.

Step away from you vehicle's electrical system. These are evil, and should not be used...ever.

fliptuner 02-02-2015 10:43 AM

Before using a wire tap/T-tap, you're probably better off just using a butt connector with 2 wires on 1 end.

saiko 02-02-2015 12:31 PM

ricer in me..

but does anyone know if Canadian Tire or Lordco carries 'tire paint pen' to make the brand on the walls of the tire white.

Thanks!

underscore 02-02-2015 12:43 PM

^ you are better off doing that, butt connectors can be good in the right places if crimped properly. That said I'll admit to using those clamp connectors on rare occasions when the wire can't be accessed well enough to solder/strip.

Their retail location is in Vanocuver (Renfrew and Broadway-ish). The Burnaby location is their warehouse.

Thanks a lot for this recommendation. Ended up picking up a very nice desk from their "clearance" room for $255 taxes in. And it turned out to be exactly what I needed.

Their regular priced stock is very nice for the price from about $350-$900+ however, if anyone is looking for a great desk and doesn't care too much about the color, they had some insane deals on like light pine colored wood desks that were 8x8 L shaped etc for peanuts, like $290
