went to both of these places in the last 2 weeks.
seoul cafe is a good spot for a quick and light meal followed by shaved ice.
it was pretty decent and fairly quiet place. nice to sit down and talk for a while after.

snowy village only serves shaved ice and taiyaki. i think its slightly better but not by much. i went yesterday and we were third in line and waited less than 10 minutes. by the time we left there were probably 7-8 groups waiting. it moves quick because inside its crazy busy and people don't usually stay to socialize long after they finish their food.

i'd have no problem going back to either of these. i guess i havent had shaved ice in a really long time but the way they shave the ice these days is interesting. very light and fluffy

Not sure of the store name, but it's one of the very old store with a unit that has exit on both side (their window mainly display electronics like rice cooker or water boiler).

I got mine there a few years ago.

Oh weird, I went there as well and even asked the clerk, no luck. I might have to try chinatown.

There's a place on Powell Street that will have it. It's on 300 block. Between Kay's Seafood and Sunrise market. Same side of street.

Fried Fish floss? Like dried pork floss, but fish. Can't seem to find it at the usual bigger stores like T&T etc.

M&M chocolate covered almonds or just chocolate covered almonds in general. I only ever see these at movie theaters and they're wicked expensive and in small bags.

Any large grocery store will have bulk chocolate covered almonds (Stupidstore/Safeway/Save On, etc). I think Save On had m&m almonds.

MG1 05-21-2016 07:15 AM

So, M&M's almonds are coated with chocolate which is, in turn, coated with candy. That's sweet!

I get sugar-free, chocolate coated stuff at the Winco in Bellingham. Hella cheap, too.

Costco has one that comes in a 1.5KG (or sth like that) bag. It's quite decent. And for what it costs, it's unbeatable (9.99 last time I got mine)

Any local shops carry Therabands? Preferably in various colours and not the beginners colours. It doesn't have to be by "Theraband".
Amazon would be my last resort.

1/0 Gauge Battery/Welding Cable. Red/Black if available.

Any of the RS car audio sponsors/dealers.........

If in a pinch, there's always Visions.

EDIT: Oops, was assuming car audio. Princess Auto will have 1/0 by the foot.

If those are the rubbery bands of various strengths I'm thinking of, maybe call up a few physiotherapy offices or medical supply stores?

I got mine from PA. Cheapest I found. Also, do yourself a favour and get some cable/parrot cutters while you're there - cheap, effortless and clean cuts.

Black 3x3 aluminum gutter downpipe and elbows. Two pipes and two elbows. Most places carry the 2x3. I can special order the stuff, but it will take weeks. Rona on Grandview has the stuff in brown and white, but no black. I guess I can paint it black, but what a pain.

CharlesInCharge 05-25-2016 11:37 PM

Where can I find cheap (but real) leather... is Fabricland my best option?

edit - found one fabric store guide http://sewaholic.net/fabric-stores-v...ltimate-guide/

Give KR Gutter Systems a call and they are located in North Vancouver if I remember correctly.
