Surprisingly I went to Lordco today again and a kit was never brought to my attention. I'll try coming with part numbers this time.

My gosh do the kiddies not learn how to google or use websites these days? I can't believe I'm actually replying to this...but start with:
Lordco
Napa
North Shore Auto Parts
Vancouver Auto Parts

Ikea. Survive dishwashers, and they're cheap as chips.

Guess they are called Noodle Pool.
Prefer black color...as seen by ppl using them to wrap their rollcage.

Cheers!

i've seen people use this:

Pipe Insulation https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/cat...nsulation.html

but i question their effectiveness if your car gets hit and goes turtle.

maybe lordco or mopac has the real stuff like what summit sells:

https://www.summitracing.com/int/sea...ll-bar-padding

Are you looking for Roll Bar padding?

DO NOT use Pool Noodles or Pipe insulation. Roll bar padding needs to be very high-density if you want it to have any hope of protecting you from injury in an impact. It's not cheap, but saving money on roll bar padding is like buying used condoms, pointless.

Lordco, Mopac, Driver's Edge, Rallysport.ca, Summit, Pegasus Racing, etc.

Used to buy online but would prefer to purchase locally. I've tried a bunch of places to no avail.

Metric Fine Thread Fasteners.

Been searching a week for M10x1.25 at 55+ mm long.

Finally discovered Lordco in town actually has a decent selection, but not what i need. Fastenal, useless unless I order a huge pack. C Tire, HD, Ammo Power Supply, nothing.

Alder auto has good selection but they are a good trek. Anyone know of anyplace IN Vancouver who deals with metric fasteners? BC Fasteners doesn't have anything in grade 8.8 or higher which is required for my suspension.

EDIT: Even a Canadian online supplier with quick shipping options is good with me. Sick of searching

LOL, I didn't actually think about getting it from Amazon. I guess it was an impulse buy where I want to get it right away.

The Lowes on Queensborough is ok with Metric fasteners. I'd bet you can find that there. I don't know if they will have anything 10.9, but they do have socket head cap screws (12.9). They carry The Hillman Group fasteners, usually in packs of 2 or 3.

I get a lot of my hardware at Fastenal these days. They had no problems with all the weird stuff I needed to make my hydraulic clutch conversion work.

Edit: Just noticed they had them, but you had to order a box. Can't help you there, rarely do I order just one or two bolts. In my shop, if I'm using them for a project there is a good chance I will use more later. So I buy a box.

I actually ended up going to a few Fasteners places in Burnaby today. The main Lordco place was around the corner and they actually decided to look up the bolts for me. (Apparently some counter staff don't like doing this). He told me there were a few sets at Metrotown so i had them about 15 minutes later. If only every Lordco employee would bother putting some effort in. ^ Thanks for taking the time to look!

Haha no worries. I know the Metrotown store (my location) had some of the 60mm but didn't get around to posting it till I got home

Anyone know if I can RENT a fire extinguisher somewhere(Like a big one, not a tiny Fast and the Furious bolt in style)? I think tomorrow may be the big day, attempting a start on the Datsun but I wouldn't mind a fire extinguisher on hand for those just in case moments. I had a lot of fuel leaks, and who knows where some fuel may be hiding.

Either that, or i'll fill rubber maids with water on standby. ha
