I believe they aren’t recyclable unless you split the bubble wrap from the paper outside. Not a big deal if you can do it

SSM_DC5 03-31-2019 11:39 AM

I haven't found a solution for recycling it either. Separating the plastic bubbles from the paper envelope is essentially impossible since they're glued together, you'd have dirty paper with shreds of bubbles as your final products.

MG1 03-31-2019 01:47 PM

I heard there was a place on Hastings Street that does, but forgot where. I heard this from dude at the municipal recycling place at Still Creek.

I'll ask again. If not, in the garbage it goes, then. The tree hugger in me is gonna cry a bit.

Any shop carry Lacquer-Stik in Vancouver that's reasonable in price?

I was looking online but they sell this thing mostly in pack of 12 for just under 30 USD in the US. And Canadian prices (on amazon that is) are like $17 CAD for 1?!?

Granted I only need two... but at that price, I might order a dozen from US for the heck of it.

May be interested in buying 1 of them if you grab it.

They’re local. When I was into that kind of shit, I’d call the guy up and meet him at the 7-Eleven on Kingsway and Joyce.

I just read that it's back for a limit time in Canada. Anyone seen Crystal Pepsi around? I remember having it everyday after school but in a slurpee,

Have a good day!

Saw it at the Safeway in Kensington Square, North Burnaby. I'm assuming all Safeways cary them?

Michael's. Use their coupons.

They have sticky mats, glues, backing, etc. specifically for puzzles and shit. It's a craft store, so best place for advice and such.

Pull DOWN (important) spray hose for a sink? Incredibly I can only find pull out hoses (insert joke here) at Home Depot or Rona... Amazon has the correct one but it’s 3 weeks delivery.

Pic for reference:

High end cast iron skillets

hud 91gt 05-06-2019 05:52 AM

Is there such thing as a high end Cast Iron skillet? Costco has that Lodge brand, have a couple but haven’t used them. My kitchen aid is too seasoned to replace.

From what I've read before it's kind of hard to beat a Lodge. In some of the 1 on1 tests I've seen where they go up against the best the Lodge usually loses by a smidge but will win the overal after you factor in the price because it's significantly cheaper. But I don't use or own one so I really don't know shiet lol

Yeah, don't waste your money and get Lodge. It will likely outlive you assuming proper care is followed.

The only cast iron worth premium over Lodge are some fancy enameled Japanese ones. But they are very pricey (relatively to Lodge) even in Japan and it's only better in a cosmetic sense and lower maintenance. Lodge also has enameled cast iron but they are made in China. From personal exp, the quality is not up to the Japanese one if you compare them side by side.

Lodge is a good price but the general complaint with them is the surface is very rough. Which isn’t really an issue once it becomes super seasoned but still..

I came across this company who makes beautiful products but they are on a 10 week back order and it’s going to be over $200 for their 12”

Home | Stargazer Cast Iron

They have a machined finish so it’s smooth out of the box
