Was hoping to find cheaper. Everything I find at Dick's is cheaper than home depot and they're across the street from each other.

Mm without an account, you can try giving wesco a call and asking for a quote for your needs.
Located behind Windsor plywood in Burnaby

Is there a distributor similar to Dick's Lumber that sells electrical supplies to DIY'ers? I'd be looking to buy circuit breakers, a spool of 14/2, etc. Close to Still Creek area would be ideal.

I got some 12/2, how much are you looking for.

You won't get much of a discount unless your account is big. You will save on wire purchase but will have to buy a 100' spool, don't notice much savings in breakers compared to home depot but I don't buy much using our account.

Haven't measured but I'd probably grab a 50' to start. I'm moving things around, so only need to pull new if old wire doesn't reach.

Looking for an East Van Cross logo trailer hitch cover. Saw one on a beautiful truck this morning. Black laser cut aluminum from what I could tell.

Anyone know where to get Sweet Sixteen locally?

Qmx323 06-26-2023 07:19 PM

The Gummy Candy? About to grab some at Pricesmart.

Asking for a friend
Can anyone recommend a reputable shop that tints windows?
It’s for a Tesla model 3 if that helps
TIA

Saw a whole display of them at Superstore on Grandview Hwy and Rupert. I was like, "What is this shit?" I only noticed because one of the bags fell onto the floor as this rather large woman (Bertha Butt of the Butt Sisters) passed by. I picked it up, because that's what I do......... pick up after others.

East Van Wear and Tattoo on The Drive. Rocco, the proprietor, has the rights to the logo. He might be able to help out with that.

Where do I find high temperature large-ish o rings locally? HD doesn't have it, and went to a few plumbing stores and they don't sell the right size. It's about 2" in diameter.

Backstory: Our steam mop started leaking and I took it apart to see what's wrong. Found that it was partially clogged and cleared it, but I need a new o-ring to seal the tank back together.

Recommendations for windshield wiper blades?

the one's at Costco, I've been using them for years.

bcrdukes 10-16-2023 04:40 PM

Not to knock murd0c's recommendation, but my experience with the Michelin wiper blades sold at Costco are not positive.

While they may be inexpensive and made by Michelin, I find that the the rubber used on the wiper blade deteriorate quickly. I tried them for a spring and summer season and they are on the way out. I will go back to the dealer to get the rubber inserts which are relatively inexpensive and not as wasteful.

I've been using Bosch Icon's for the last year, pretty good and they don't lift on the highway.

SSM_DC5 10-16-2023 04:57 PM

If I can get oem inserts, I go that route. If not then Costco. We need to use wipers so often, so I'm fine treating it like a consumable. They last me well over a year before it breaks.

Badhobz 10-16-2023 04:58 PM

Bosch icons for a car you care about. Costco for all others. Replace every 6 months for best effect. I think the blades are on sale this week at Costco. 10 bucks a blade.

EvoFire 10-16-2023 07:33 PM

OEM wiper blades are the best I find. Our M3 and X3 are on 5th and 4th year with the original blades and they are still wiping well.

I bought new blades for the X3, but turns out the windshield just had a lot of gunk on it and a good polish fixed everything.

Silicone wipers not rubber if possible.

Ditto on this.

The Michelin wipers sold at Costco are an infused rubber material.
