So quick to judge. Might be that he just eats too many popsicles while kneeling.

That's why I like dating midgets, they don't need to kneel. Also for their small hands

i had custom orthodics made twice in my life and both times they were so rigid that although it might have been somehow good for my foot they were very uncomfortable to use.

eventually i just started buying those $50 ones at marks or sportchek, superfeet, sole, etc... they are semi rigid and you can try on a bunch before buying. im not gonna make any wild claims like they cured my back aches or anything but they definitely increased my comfort when i'm walking around 5000-7000 steps a day at work. i have pretty flat feet and they have made a huge difference. ya i have to buy a new pair about every year or so but its worth every penny.

those custom orthodics places just abuse the hell out of the the fact that benefits companies prop them up. you sit there for 5 minutes at the office getting assessed then put your feet in a foam mold and they make a tiny piece of plastic out of that. how is that $700? i paid $200 for my first one then $400 for my second one.

^ i'm sure any custom ortho would kick your ass if you siad that LOL.

no diff than anyone / myself included... "i could have done it myself WTF"

I think for men it’s a bit easier to just buy the off the shelf ones as we typically wear shoes or boots which have an existing insole that can be swapped out and the different in height/thickness doesn’t really matter

For women though customs are almost required as so many women’s shoes are low profile and cannot be a full length insole.

In my experience Kintec doesn’t just shove your foot in a mold and spit out an insole but they actually work on pressure points and ecen actively shave down and shape the insole once you begin wearing it.

It’s the age old adage in, you get what you pay for

another problem is having to swap them into other shoes constantly though. i like to wear any pair of shoes i have without doing that swap, so i have like 3-4 of those insoles in all the shoes i commonly wear. it's quite nice, and since im not wearing the same shoes all the time they do last a lot longer.

Long shot here but anyone with leads to a late model E30 front bumper? Helping a friend get his E30 back up and running for drivers education this season. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has made getting a replacement very difficult.

Any leads or forums appreciated! :)

Edit: Found - details in post below.

So my nephew visiting us for CNY has always worn custom insoles due to a slight flat feet. He lost his shoes on a recent trip to the pool and we were at a podiatric office today and they were asking 700CAD to have a pair made. :fuckthatshit:

He usually get his in Taiwan for a fraction of that and it actually make more sense to just buy a pair in Taiwan and Fedex over here.

But before we do that, any recommendations for local places?

I got mine at Kintec, about $400 per pair. I recommend.

I only keep a pair in my gym shoes, as they're pretty flat.

Always know with orthotics, they feel like shit for the first week or so, takes a while for them to wear in to the shape of your feet. They do free alterations of course, but do note that it'll take time to feel perfect.
