Winter Storage - 2010/2011

The season is pretty much over. Who here is putting their bikes away for the rest of the year?

My insurance expires next week. Time to prep the Vespa for the winter.

Wimps.

Last year it was warm/dry enough to ride starting in Feb, hoping for the same this year. I do need to get gloves without vents, my heated grips can only do so much.

Can I take insurance off for only a month or 2? ie if the forecast looks like rain all Dec and/or Jan?

I got my scooter sometime between xmas and the new year.
I just started riding around then... No heated gloves.

It's freaking COLD in January during the dead of night.
*shiver*
5 minutes and I couldn't feel my hands anymore.

Any good heated glove suggestions?

I have Oxford heated grips - at less than 1/2 on they are so toasty warm!

I have about another month to go before the insurance runs out, but riding in summer gear in fall weather kinda sucks...

I'll be riding until the roads start to freeze. Riding in the rain isn't so bad.... even in the morning, it's not too too cold.

I think that i'll be putting mine in storage next week, it doesn't look like there will be any good days to ride in November

Wait it out and let it expire. The cancellation and fees associated with cancelling insurance isn't worth it.
