BB 9000 White Screen

Hey guys,

I know this topic may be covered but I did a search and couldn't find specific help to my situation. I dropped my bold 9000 down the stairs today (doh!) and now I'm getting the white screen of death.

The phone still sorta works; I can still receive calls, emails, msgs, however, I just can't see anything but a white screen. I got my buddy's phone and swapped the lcd screens and his screen works with my parts. I put my screen to his phone and it gets the white screen. So now that I've isolated the problem, is there anything that can be done to fix the screen? Or is it a write-off and I need to purchase a new one?

The reason I ask is because I read up on crackberry and other berry forums and some people seem to be able to fix it.

If anyone has been through this problem or know of a fix, please let me know.

probably need a new screen instead of going through the hassle of trying to fix it, order one from sw-box
