^ that and its easy to slide around because of the amount of sand thats on the pavement.

The sand has little to do with it,the intense heat the country experiences is the main reason why these FWD cars can drift so well.

The arab countries see on average 50-60 dergrees celsius,plus you got the hot tarmac the cars are driving on,the rubber justs melts after a few tire spins.

and its not that hard to drift on a straight road...just press X -> L1 > left, right

heat would stop them from drifting well, like you said the rubber would melt after a couple tire spins....my dad traveled their last year and he said theirs so much sand on the roads that if you accelerate hard enough at a red light the car would start spinning out of control, even at turns if you accelerated hard the car would spin.

drifting side to side going 150km in a FWD car with thousands of people standing a few feet away is a lot more fucking dangerous than some nascars driving in circles, and all the spectators are behind a tough fence.
