Michael Jordan's car for sale

Michael Jordan bought a 2007 Mercedes McLaren SLR 722? That's one of the best cars ever made. Nice move, M.J.

Wait, he's selling it after only driving it 962 miles? Seriously? You give me hope, Michael, and then you take it all away.

So, the McLaren can be yours for $430,000, which is a little dear for that brand even if the wheels were spun for fewer than a thousand miles (considering it cost around $475,000 new). The sellers are clearly factoring in the whole "Michael Jordan owned this car" addition.

The specs? Even three years later, this is one of the fastest things in the world. It has a 5 1/2-liter V8, it'll go from zero to just over 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, it runs with 640 horsepower and it will reach 209 miles an hour; and the rear-wheel driven monster is loaded with all sorts of carbon fiber bits so it's light as a feather in comparison to other supercars.

Also, Michael Jordan drove it. For a few hundred miles, at least.

the Veyron is definitely more exclusive, saw a young guy drop a girl off in a SLR outside Boss this one time, not that special after all

Yeah but one time, I saw a guy drive a Veyron into a saltwater lagoon, not that special after all.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren SLR

You are looking at a very rare Mercedes Benz SLR 722 in mint condition. Clean 1 owner Carfax. This was the one and only Michael Jordan's 722 with title signed by him! This car is loaded with carbon fiber from the hood to the floor pans and wheel wells. Still has Mercedes Benz factory warranty till aug of 2011 or 50,000. Comes with all papers, books, keys, trickle charger, k40 radar, and SLR car cover. Owned by the one and only, Michael Jordan.

"The "722 Edition" includes an engine rated 650 PS (480 kW; 640 hp)@6500rpm and 820 Nm (600 lbft)@4000rpm, with top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph) (3 km/h (1.9 mph) faster than the standard SLR). 19-inch light-alloy wheels were used to reduce unsprung weight, while modifications were also made to the suspension, with a stiffer damper setup and 10 mm (0.39 in) lower ride height introduced for improved handling. Larger 390 mm (15 in) diameter front brakes and a revised front air dam and rear diffuser were fitted. Exterior changes, other than the larger 19-inch (480 mm) black light-alloy wheels, include red "722" badging, hearkening back to the original 722 racer, and slightly different taillights and headlamps."

The SLR 722 can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, 200 km/h (120 mph) in 10.2 seconds and 300 km/h (190 mph) in 21.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph).

Please feel free to contact us @ 713-459-4404 if you have any questions or would like to schedule a viewing of the SLR.
