No control over wipers...

Hey guys,

Wasn't getting too many views in the tech forum so I figure I'd try here...

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum to post in but I have recently started experiencing problems with my 94 civic couple. What happens is when I turn on my left turn signal or my lights (regular headlights, highbeam, or emergency), the windshield wipers just go off and there's no way I can turn it off. Nothing happens when I use my right turn signal however. Also, when I use the left turn signal, it blinks at twice the speed. It's driving me nuts!

Is there anyone who has experienced this problem and know how to fix it? Or any suggestions/advice as to what I can do, if anything?

Thanks!

the hyper-blinking could be caused by

- burnt out bulb
- rusted socket for the bulb

the wipers running as soon as lights are on = broken wires somewhere under the dash in the steering column cover...

Theory 1: Your car is being possessed by Soichiro Honda for bastardizing his creation.
Theory 2: You have a defective relay. Check the fusebox

Always get confused when I see wipers going off on the dryest days during summer... Guess this could be a reason as to why I see it... But it's odd seeing it on at 2009 corolla. Oh well.
