How can you do that? I've had my snows on for a week already and since temps aren't really that low I've noticed a HUGE decrease in performance. Much less grip and way noisier.

Easier to get the back loose tho hehe.

I found out that one of my winter tires has unrepairable damage, and now I have to replace all tires :(

Actually, once the sipes become useless, there's usually still 6-7/32nds left. That's what I run for mid-season tires (Sept.-Nov., Mar.-May). They work great in the rain and are nice and soft when it's cold out.

What is the optimal temperature range for typical winter tires?

I know summer tires are that good when it dips below +7C, how about winter tires?

Booked an appointment with BJ Autohaus to mount/balance my snows on next week onto the TL.

Snows already on the Yukon and going to leave the all seasons on the Rover.

skyxx 11-18-2010 08:59 PM

Most places are booked fully booked at the moment. Earliest is a week. Same story across the border.

MindBomber 11-18-2010 09:49 PM

Not everywhere is fully booked, I called around today and a couple places were willing to put my snowies on if I came in early.

I`ll be at Curtis Tire at 7am tomorrow lol..
