Or they have to all be the same size.
Some awd drive cars implode if you do that, P2 volvo chassis cars.

Hey,

I have a set of 205/50R/16 Winter Tires. Do you guys know where's the cheapest place to buy a set of steelies for them are?

Some people mentioned Sorat, any other places (I live in Surrey), also.. what's a good price range for the rims?

Tire rack sells rims for $85 US each

Thanks!

Sure it can be worse. Now, you're not just varying traction front to rear, but you're also changing weight balance.

Careful buying used OEM wheels. Mazda has the largest centre bore (67.1mm) so Honda, Toyota and Nissan rims won't fit.

You either have to get Mazda wheels or ones off a Mitsubishi, Ford Escape, Probe, Grand Caravan or go aftermarket.

edit: Add Hyundai and Kia to OEM wheels with a 67.1 CB, 5x114.3 BP

Thanks for the heads up! I'm looking at these

Set of 4 steel wheels.
16"x6.5"
5x114.3 bolt pattern
These will fit almost all 5 Lug cars and SUV

Do I need to ask the guy to measure the CB for me? or it should probably fit right?

You're not going to get anything near that if you're going for brand new.

Tires alone would cost 500+ for a good set of 4.

Talked to volco about this. Since im putting steelies on my civic. They said it will fit you just have to use a different type of lug nuts.

Just steelies, no centre caps is fine.

wix, whoever is selling those rims should be able to tell you what they're off of. If they came off one of the cars I listed, great, if not measure them first. Volco and sorat are totally different companies. Sorat seems to have better pricing on most stuff, including mount and balance.

TypeRNammer, I'm selling a set of Nissan GTR rims (16x6.5, 5x114.3, 66.1 CB, 40mm offset) for $250firm. PM if interested.

It's recommended to have all 4 winter tires the same.

I've heard that the better set of tires should always be put on the rear wheels, is that really true?

I think I'm going to run the Hakkapeliitta R tires I picked up on the front wheels, and Nexen Eurowins on the back.
