do any of you guys think snow tires are overkill for the city? like burnaby/surrey. im planning on going to cypress/whistler but even the sea to sky highway is salted and plowed anyways? sure it makes life easier, but all seasons just have to drive more careful right?

Plus its only mid November..

You won't be able to go to Whistler without snow tires, even if you don't run into a check your endangering yourself, your passengers and other drivers.

I don't want a noob driver, who thinks new all season tires can perform in snow and ice, to crash into me.
You probably just have cheap friends who can't afford winter tires for their parents vehicle.

werd so many cheap mofos are out there think their almighty all season AWD can stop in time
NO snow tires does not make you invincible, but at least its a start.
ANY snow tires > all season anyday
driving in snow/ice when you lose traction and hit your brake, all you do is hear your abs pumping and keep on sliding, inside your heart you know OH SNAP is the MOST miserable feeling while operating a motor vehicle

I don't think I'm gonna bother with snow tires this year. No, it's not because I'm cheap; it's because it will be a moot point for me. The road in front of my house is never plowed and considering how low my car is, I'll never get it out onto roads that are cleared. |

i tried changing my tires yesterday. I got the lugnuts off but the wheels were stuck! It never happened before in previous years when I was swapping on the winters and vice versa. I was able to get 2 of them off with some WD40 but the other 2 were too stubborn that i gave up so drove it to the local shop to get them swapped. Didn't want to kick or hammer it since it was on a jack. Any idea why it seized like that??

just kick the buttom of the tires really hard
than it will come off
the rusts in between the holes in ur rim and the bolt are rusted out and seized due to a long period of time without taking them out
its normal
