seriously im just driving to get around places. its not like im racing or anything. simple is best. im digging the genesis too |
You say you're poor yet you want to lease a used car? Sounds like a good recipe to stay poor. You'd be way better off financing a car you can afford or buying a cheaper car, outright. |
If you're poor, I'm seconding the other guy's comment, RX-7's needs plenty of maintenance. Just look around for some of the eco car options right now if you're strapped for cash: Mazda 3, Hyundai Genesis, Matrix, Corolla, Fit, Civic, Fiesta, Lancers, etc. There should be plenty of reliable options in your budget range. Nothing close to performance, but then you save on maintenance, and gas right? |
i own a g35, it's reliable. but when shit needs to be fixed, it'll cost u an arm and a leg. not as much as bmw/mb per say, but still costly. |

After reading all the posts you made, my recommendation is please stay away from RX-7's. Thanks |

there are so little BRAND NEW cars out there that can be under 20k after you package it up. (specially since you're going auto! and if you want AC, power everything). i was in your position a few months ago, looking for a new car. i think it was mazda3 or lancers that charged 3000 (yes THREE THOUSAND) for AUTO TRANS. seriously??!?!?!? average cars add 1000 for auto, so be careful of which one you're looking at. i recommend searching .CA websites for the cars you want in your list, and do the "build your car" things that their websites provide. throw on the packages you want, and figure out the lease/final prices. 90% of the time, you're going to go over 20k (i always went over 20k, even when i was looking at a civic... i guess i was too picky with the packages). figure out what you need, and where you can shave off some money. after building a nice car that you want, go to a dealer and bargain it down below 20k ;D |
sounds like you need a civic |
You can get a 2011 Corolla CE package auto everything for $20G.... Thats if you want a auto eco car.. Very reliable and cheap on gas... |
he did mention he wants an auto, and only needs it from point A to B |
If you really wanna go cheap get a Yaris. |
Scion tc? Posted via RS Mobile |
no civic or camry since my family already owns those two. but yea doesnt matter if its brand new or used. i'd rather get used since there are more options out there |
than TSX/TL would be your best bet comfy and reliable + auto |
http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...024593059.html 05 TSX 80k seems reasonable $17g fits ur budget http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bn...021062213.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...020156087.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bn...015613680.html with navi http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...025033840.html a bit over ur budget but im sure you can talk it down a few grands http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...024971203.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/nv...022053658.html they both requires premium tho thats the minor downside. But most of the high efficient engines nowadays all requires 91 gas roughly 450km per tank for both vehicle |
Does anyone ever post back to which car they chose thanks to the advise given? I would like to read some happy ending threads. It would also be cool to have a poll at the end. |
^ill let you guys know when i chose one and where can i find a genesis under 20g |
^ probably a slightly used one i believe brand new base 2.0T starts $24g ish and fully loaded 2.0T is $30g before taxes |

even look right here, brand new and 20k > http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...023165207.html at least you're doing something right, RWD is a good daily driver, when the rain comes down it's tempting not to drift. |
10k BMW 8 series, with 10k set aside for maintenance. http://images-2.drive.com.au/2010/08...mage-420x0.jpg |
That 10k WILL dry up FAST with the price of parts and labour. Not only that, that car is NOT practical as an A-> B car at all. |
