Let it dry up fast, live for the moment original poster. Competition for women is fierce out there, do you think a guy in a Genesis is going to out look a guy in a super looking BMW?
Its all about the babes :D

a girl sees an 8 series and thinks shitty old car...

a girl sees a genny and thinks expensive new car...

Reasonably low mileage but price is "form"
If you're looking for sexy S2k not sure if you can drive stick but it's certainly a nice car and used ones are under 20k for earlier ones.

you said 4th gen camaro. Does it need to be a v8 or 6. I had 3 4th gens 2 that I still own, All 3 of them have been really reliable. One problem I did have was that I forgot to latch down the T-top and it flew off. And many 4th gens are well below 10000 now. Parts are dirt cheap, and they are cheap to maintain. If you are getting a early 4th gen, I would stay away from a them unless the waterpump and cam seals, and distributor has been replaced. If you want any more info on the 4th gen ask me. BTW one of my 4th gens is a for sale.

Where'd you hear that from...? Depends what you're comparing it to in terms of fuel economy, it'll be no worse if not better than equivalent engines such as VQ35 or J32 engines. Obviously compared to a fit/versa you'll be looking at much higher gas bills but then again you're getting 3x the power at the least

worst advice ever

OP isn't a car enthusiast so just go with the automatic genesis coupe and call it a day.

It's a great car for the money.

BlacknJean 10-25-2010 10:52 PM

i wasnt talking literally about a genesis being better than BMW. just my preference of genesis over BMW

The LS1 cars arent that bad, its better than alot of stuff with similar hp. The V8 and V6 have very little difference in fuel economy. Manual and auto I get around 13L/100km in the city. the 93-97 v8s are not that great, but the 98-02 cars are fine.

BlacknJean 10-26-2010 03:34 PM

ok so ive narrowed it down to three cars

Camaro, Genesis and Eclipse

do you guys know any good used auto dealership websites around? i only know of autotrader

TOPoftheworld 10-26-2010 03:55 PM

You sound like your buying a toy lol

If you have narrowed it down to those 3, then why not search around on craigslist / other car sites for some on sale.. and actually test drive it before you decide lol

I hope you don't intend to pick which car to buy right away using the internet without test driving other competitors

what gen eclipse are you thinking of?

i hear the newer ones break super easily, and are very cheaply built. not sure about the old ones. best do tons of research before buying one.

EDIT: ^and dont miss the post right above mine ;D
craigslist is a good place to look, and test driving is important! ;]

BlacknJean 10-26-2010 04:34 PM

^obviously i am going to test drive them before purchasing. and ive already used craigslist and what not. im trying to get more compettive price out there.

comprehension skill fail

Yes it did.

CorneringArtist 10-27-2010 12:10 AM

Putting form over function again I see...The OP needs a car that goes from point a to point b while being reliable and sexy, not some car that's all style but breaks down as soon as you touch something (ie. the 8 series if bought from some shady motherfucker).

Get your head out of the clouds.

to the OP: have fun testing what you've narrowed down to. if you tested all three, get back to us with any feedback you have if you want.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...027232316.html

good deal if you can knock another 2 to 3 grand off...
you could tell the dealer that back in June this car was selling for $21,500 + tax brand new if you pay cash and see if they'll negotiate.

but i'm suspicious as to why this car with only 55kms ended up used at a toyota dealership though
