Windows Phone 7 - coming in November

Anybody going to be picking up a WP7 handset? I currently have an iPhone 3GS, and was thinking of going to 4. But after seeing WP7 I will be switching over.

Rogers is bringing the Samsung Focus which is in relative terms, similar to the Galaxy lines they have, with the 4" S-AMOLED screen. Bell is bringing in a couple of handsets, so is Telus.

I've been following closely, and I will probably get the Focus. Hopefully I can switch SIM cards when it comes.

im not feeling the wp7 but a lot of ppl seem to like it i'd wait for some better reviews though like from gsmarena

there's also the htc hd7 it looks pretty cool (the phone)

edit: oh gsmarena has one on the omnia 7 http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i870...review-522.php

Let’s just say Microsoft are in charge of the numerology and leaving it to manufacturers to do the math.

And it’s simple but expensive math. WVGA screens, 1 GHz processors and dedicated GPUs are the minimum requirements for any set to run the brand new OS. Let’s just repeat that – those are the MINIMUM requirements.
im not a fan of the hardware 5mpx no card slot min requirements for wp7 and that's just at a quick glance (same as the htc)

I am for one glad they at least had the minimum req that high. No more running bloated windows mobile 6.5 on POS hardware that ran slower than old palm treo phones.

On the software side, what I've seen so far is pretty exciting but not as developed as iOS4/android but they are off to a pretty good start.

From what I've seen, MS is really pushing for developers to have some good quality apps out the gate. It really seems like the apps available can make or break it these days.

Some phones do have expandable memory, such as the Focus, which in turn you can get 40GB, with the 8GB internal.

Reviews are coming, pocket-now.com, pocket-lint.org, cnet, phonearena, etc...

Initially I was thinking of getting the HD7, but from the reviews, the screen is not that great compared to the Focus or even the HTC Mozart.

So right now, I am defintely looking into the Focus or the Dell Venue Pro (if it is available in Canada).
