I switched to wagons during the last year, previously only having had sedans. We have an older outback and a newer Forester. The amount of stuff that fits into those cars is just boggling. I don't know how I lived with a sedan before.

Subaru. Whichever one fits your taste and budget, really. Symmetrical AWD is just amazing. The amount of traction is unbelievable. If you ever get to drive one in the snow it will sell you immediately.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the previous (2003-2009) Legacy wagon. You can get one that's not too old. You can get n/a or turbo. And they had an option for a huge sunroof. It's 97% wrx and 100% practical. You can have your cake and eat it too.

The outback is a great option if you need more ground clearance (Forester too). I found the Impreza to be a little too cramped/small, and the Forester actually seemed to handle better despite it's higher center of gravity (specifically the "turn in" feel - the current generation Impreza has soft suspension and doesn't have a rear sway bar, which seems to hurt it immensely).

Thanks! That's rlly useful.

I know doing a trade is the worst in terms of money, but I hate selling cars. How hard would it be to sell an 02 Town and Country? My mom and I are thinking just trading.

Mazda 6 Wagon.

I'm looking for one myself actually.

Do u plan to drive manual or auto?

5speed ones are quite reliable, cheap, and handle really well for a wagon.
the 2005+ 6 speed Automatics are reliable too. but the 5speed AT on the V6 are not.

great looking wagon too i think

I'm considering getting a wagon/SUV for my next car too...with the wife thinking about having kids in a few years...

Only problem is, I want a wagon/SUV that comes with manual transmission and there doesn't seem to be many out there! I know the Impreza WRX does, but it's a little too small. The Subaru Forester and Outback base models come in manual, but anything else? Even all the Audis are now tiptronic!
