Fedex guy just dropped it off.
$47.
Now if I could figure out how to take this damn thing out of the box.

Edit:
Got it.
Jam a knife just inbetween the White box and the Black Box. There's 2 spots that have adhesive on it.
Jam knife in. Cut.
Pull out.

I wanted to keep the box. If you don't care, just rip the bitch apart.

aw just browsing this thread now, i thought it was some spam thread at first

this would be awesome to get its really steady (basing it from the formula race car video)

and yeah it would be insane attaching one to that RC Jet (it'd probably throw off the balancing though?)

picked mine up at Pt Roberts this morning. No tax/duty coming back across the border - the guard was nice.

tried it out, it's pretty decent quality, i'm happy with it. Note to self: make sure suction cup is securely mounted before driving... we drove for a few minutes before realizing it had fallen off, luckily, we were just on some side roads having some fun...

Gotta clean the cup and the surface.
Otherwise it's gonna fall.

Don't touch it with your fingers after cleaning.

That suction cup is pretty damn strong, how did it come off.

Make sure you press all the air out first with the button then flip up the tab. I couldnt get the thing to budge if i tried, and i didnt clean the surface first.
The suction cup even works on my motorcycle helmet which is pretty cool so i dont have to leave one of those 3M tabs on there

Heres a quick test i did with mine right after i picked it up.
Used the suction cup mount, at 1080p. Not too much vibration, sound is good. This is with the open backplate that isnt waterproof. 2:40 video ended up being around 240mb. So close to 1mb per second in 1080p

Now that really makes me want to get onto a bike again...., it's been too long.

Good video, should have cleaned the windshield first though

Anyone have trouble formatting a SD card? Or getting the camera to erase the last video?

There's a software upgrade on GoPro's site that gives you a few more options, like having the camera upside down but filming right side up.

Here's what GoPro recommends, see point number 4.

http://www.goprocamera.com/FAQ_HD.php

I ordered one from A-Power, $95.99

http://www.a-power.com/product-6860

Thank you !SG for the promo code. I've been wanting to buy one of these cameras for a while now. Almost bought it from NSOR for $315 before taxes.

The Lexar is faster, and I trust Lexar/Sandisk more than Patriot/Kingston. Especially since I've heard not-so-good stuff regarding Patriot LX Signature cards.

What do I know about memory cards, haven't bought one in a couple of years and don't have time to keep up with all the latest advances. Good to hear about other people's experiences. I'll watch for any problems with mine after I pick it up, if it screws up, back it goes for a Lexar.
