They are always helping people fix their broken cars, heli's, planes, whatever. Small place, but it is jammed with parts for RC's - floor, walls, to ceiling.
I'm not into RC's myself, but man, the stuff is interesting to say the least.

Gonna check that place out too.
I remember in this thread someone said they sell TAMIYA paints at the lowest price? The only place I have gone to is that place in Crystal Mall, next to the escalator. They sell for $2.99/10mL IIRC. And something like 7.99 for aerosol.

You should add RC Pit Stop to the list.
They're located in Langley, off 200th st near 64th. 5 doors away from the Chuck E Cheese.
I bought my first RC in years the other day, a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Greg Adler edition.
(I'll replace this with a real pic of mine when I take one )
It's too much fun.

It really is a great piece of technology for the money. I'm amazed as to what $400 buys you. Brushless motor, fully sealed electronics, passive diffs, aluminum shaft drive..... Stuff that would cost thousands back in the day! |

Check this out NEW ITEMS: Kids
Under Tools and Paints - Mark It.
I was at Burnaby Hobbies the day of their 20% off sale. Dude there knew I was a Tamiya fanboy, so he pointed me to this new item. It's a decal softener, much like Micro Sol and Microset. Helps decals conform to irregular shapes and gives you that painted on look.

I might go there just to check it out. I'm saving up my pennies for Boxing Day sales at Magic Box and Imperial Hobbies.

Looking for "Sail Color" paint.
Mr. Hobby colour C45 or H85
I know Imperial Hobbies carry the stuff, but it's a little too far to go for just for one jar of paint. Anyone know where else I can get Mr. Hobby/Mr. Color/Gunze Sangyo stuff close to North Burnaby? I travel along Hw1, so in the Valley somewhere?
TIA

Just got call from Go Go Hobbies. Gonna be the first person around these parts to get my hands on the new Tamiya 1/350 IJN Yamato. Arriving next week!
I've been drooling over this model since it was announced and shown at this year's All Japan Hobby Show. How I'm gonna pay for it, dunno and don't really care right now........ ramen, mac and cheese for the next ten years, LOL.

My models are far from flawless. This one is gonna get my full attention. I even have tiny little sailors ready for it. Title on box - 1/350 scale seamen, LOL.
I shy away from rigging and cables, but gonna go for it this time. Lots of research to do.

Went to Imperial Hobbies Boxing Day Sale today. Left without buying anything...... never, ever happened before.
I received my IJN Yamato model last week from Go Go Hobbies and I need to pay it off. I also purchased Tamiya's version of the IJN Yukikaze as it was outfitted for Operation Ten-Ichi Go - escort to the Yamato on its final (suicide) mission.
If any of you are interested in this incredible model by Tamiya, Imperial Hobbies now has it for sale. I calculated the cost of the model, minus the 25% off, and it is very close to the awesome price I paid for my kit.
I've never seen such attention to detail in a model kit. I can't wrap my head around the over 1200 parts this kit has. I thought the Hasegawa IJN Nagato I finished a couple of months ago with its 800 pieces was tough, this is going to be nuts.

Well, I've moved out of Vancouver now
Picked up a bunch of supplies and kits before I left though. Hit up Imperial and Magic Box for a bunch of kits and did a couple of private deals.

Do you mean Die-cast or Kits? For kits, they have almost every single car you can think of. For boxing day, everything in store is 25% off.
