Which place(s) has/have the best Hot wheels selection? and not overly inflated prices.

I'm not looking for real-deal vintage stuff nor the limited/treasure hunts, just a few regular cars from 2011. Did not pay enough attention to the releases last year and the scalpers on eBay are killing me with their prices.

None of the hobby shops get into Hot Wheels. You are better off going to Toys R Us, Zellers, Walmart, Superstore, etc.

On Track Hobbies in Port Moody has Hot Wheels, but not sure how much. I collect Matchbox, so never check closely what's there.

Every three months or so, there is a diecast show at the Recreational Hall in Pitt Meadows. Loads of tables with Hot Wheels from $0.50 to $2.00, you will most likely find the cars you are missing there.

Here's the website for show info:
Greater Vancouver Diecast Toy Show

Was reading through the latest issue of Fine Scale Modeler eMagazine when I came across this.....

1/32 J7W1 Imperial Japanese Navy fighter aircraft Shinden | Products | Zoukei-mura Inc.

Damn..... what if the Imperial Japanese Navy actually built this thing in time? Probably wouldn't make a huge difference, but man, I've never heard of it. Almost a weird as the IJN I-400 submarine that carried three airplanes (M6A Seiran) designed to take out the Panama Canal.

Battlestations: Pacific/Japanese Aircraft

Check out the MXY-7 Ohka - a manned missle (rocket powered kamikaze aircraft).

Just found out by reading the latest copy of Small Scale Modeler Magazine that the Zoukei-Mura 1/32 scale model of the Shinden will be re-released. When I saw it, I was like, "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!"

1/32 Shinden 2nd Edition Ah! My Goddess | Products | Zoukei-mura Inc.

I was hoping this company would re-release the Shinden. New ones of the original production on eBay go for like 500 bucks or more. This second version is not as cool, but all the parts are there, so just need to paint it in WWII colours.

So dbaz, no need to keep looking. I've ordered the kit.

^Most of the hobby shops carry the microscale stuff. I got mine from GoGo Hobbies. They ordered it for me. I've seen it at Burnaby Hobbies and Imperial Hobbies in Richmond. Call before going.

As for Nitro Fuel, Go Go Hobbies in Coquitlam has it for sure. Both for cars and planes.

On Track Hobbies in Port Moody is closing its doors for good. Stuff has been on sale for at least a week or two. They are primarily a hobby train shop, but carry static models and other stuff.

On Track Hobbies » Hobby Trains, Games, Models, Paints & Supplies ? On Track Hobbies

Their website doesn't mention that they are closing, but they are. Selling everything from stock at hand to the store fixtures and display cases.

They started off with a modest 10% off and are now at 20 -50% off. I'm waiting for it to go lower, LOL.
