yes, and the car still has some mods on it which wasnt taken off, eg the 18" BBS RG seen in the pics.

No matter how we compare STI vs Evo or whatever, STI is an awesome car. When modded, it's like a monster!

I like all 3 looks of the GD chassis, but god damn they know how to hold a damn resale value pretty good.

about the article posted by the op. it seems like the test car they used was the sport tech or whatever the premium version is. im guessing the added weight of the sunroof and all the little extra bits probably was what slowed the car down. i would be interested if they ran a regular 2011 sti verus a loaded 2011 sti and see what the difference is. maybe those few tenths and the few extra km are found there.

tofu1413 11-17-2010 06:59 AM

both are awesome cars.. just personal preference.

i like them both. at least the older ones anyways..

From what I've read, the stock Evo X marginally out-performed the stock GRB STI. Nonetheless, being a better-skilled driver is a much more important factor.
They're both great cars, with different pros and cons. I picked the EVO X mainly because I just had to take advantage of their 48-month 0% financing. :eek5r:
To me, the stock GRB feels a bit too soft for my taste, but I'm sure a good set of coilovers and some bushings will solve that.

I am expecting the fullly-loaded 2011 STi sedan is about 100lb heavier than the 2008 USDM STI hatchback. It's just like carrying one passanger, I don't think it could slow the car down by as much as 0.5sec from 0-60?

The 2011 STI drives a bit firmer and more stable under spirited driving. I have driven 2010 & 2011 STI, and the difference was quite pronounced.

Wow, they do 0% financing on those?

Hmm. Tempting.
