fliptuner 01-16-2012 02:11 PM

It's supposed to snow through the evening/early morning and clear up during the day but Wednesday is supposed to be the worst day with flurries all day (H0/L-6)

murd0c 01-16-2012 02:19 PM

I'm highly excited. My truck is awesome in the snow but it's the other drivers you have to worry about..... Perfect time to go camping

MindBomber 01-16-2012 02:23 PM

I still got power. It depends on where you are. Parkway is down and most of Heritage area is out

Caller says there has been a possible explosion in a @bchydro underground vault. Power out in #Coquitlam for about 4500 people.

I have to go to work in 45 min. FML I'd rather play in the snow

It's OK cause driving home will be awesome.

Mission has been in a blizzard almost all day. Atleast a foot fell there today at my buddies house.

Went and did some "snow wheelin" a few km's up Norish to see how my truck would do in the deep stuff. It loves the pow, even had a couple times where the snow was starting to come up over the top of the hood.

The drive back was good, tires are good on the hard packed. But starting from a stop in the slushy/slurry/film stuff is gg for me, gotta put it in 4x4.

But ya, back home in pomo and no new snow means i'm sad.

donjalapeno 01-16-2012 04:38 PM

Gh0stRider 01-16-2012 04:39 PM

News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate says Metro Vancouver will see about two to five centimetres today, while the Fraser Valley will get between 15 to 20 centimetres through tonight and things should taper off by Tuesday morning.

The wintry weather is causing all sort of mishaps on the road. A small school bus full of students flipped over in Port Coquitlam this afternoon. No one was hurt, but icy roads likely factored into the crash.
damn

Just imagine Sloquet on a day like today...

murd0c 01-16-2012 05:19 PM

Way to many people at Sloquet. I'm a bigger fan of clear creek and can drive my truck right up to the tubs ;)

When I went there during christmas break I had the whole place to myself. Is clear creek the ones on the east side?

murd0c 01-16-2012 05:54 PM

yep the one on the east side. It's the turn off to the right after the sand pits at about 34k I'm thinking.

Soundy 01-16-2012 10:29 PM
