Lots of snow in Lynden, Wa. Just as much in Abbotsford. It was nuts on Hwy 1 in both directions. So many cars in the ditch. I just don't get it. If you don't know how to drive in snow, GTFO!

Driver up front taps on brakes and people behind him start to panic and slam on their brakes. Damn, look at the overall picture and see what the rest of traffic is doing up ahead.

The ratio of dumb drivers to those who know how to drive in snow is like 100:1. Avoid driving the roads at all cost because of them, not the conditions.

People can't seem to grasp the concept of watching more than one car ahead.

It should be in the handbook and taught in drivers Ed if you ask me

Anyone up on the sea2sky today?

Inaii 01-04-2015 05:25 PM

Chilliwack this afternoon.

Highway 1 from Prest to Sumas was a gongshow. Cars in the ditches, semis flying by people in the left lane, random braking for no apparent reason and nearly causing a pile up.

I live in Fleetwood and its still raining but I can start feeling a temperature chance so it might start here soon as well

Was listening to Z95.3 and dumb chick on air kept saying there's no report of snow anywhere. Then, caller from Abbotsford says it's snowing quite a bit in the valley. What blew me away was the dumbass chick then says, "Wow, that's different, it usually snows more in Vancouver than Abbotsford." WTF have you been smokin'? You are now dumber than those goofs on traffic radio, LOL.

Yes. It sucked. Snowstorm wallops Sea to Sky Highway, brings traffic to crawl (PHOTOS)

My wife got stuck 10 metres before getting into our driveway because I road wasn't plowed and two neighbours used their snow blowers and shot it all right onto the road, adding on top of the 11" we already had.

What a fucken idiot driving in the opposite direction of traffic because he can't make it up the hill... Hopefully he received a big ticket for that!!

hchang 01-05-2015 12:14 PM

^ damn white drivers

westopher 01-05-2015 02:21 PM

If you get put in a position like that, and you don't have winters on, I think you should get a careless driving ticket for sure.
sea2sky was scary at 6 in the morning today. Coming home was mellow other than a few idiots.

Zedbra 01-12-2015 07:10 PM

S2S seemed fine to me at 7 - I use good Toyo winters, though.

Obsideon 04-24-2015 04:41 PM

thumper 04-24-2015 04:44 PM

twitchyzero 04-24-2015 04:48 PM

meh could be worse
it was snowing in May a number of years back...and we're talking few cm's on the ground in the middle of Vancouver, not higher elevations.

StylinRed 04-24-2015 05:21 PM

its sunny over here...

punkwax 04-24-2015 06:47 PM

It was a little chilly in the morning but t-shirt weather out here in South Surrey/White Rock this afternoon.. I was in Langley around 2 and it was pissing rain. Came home and it was gorgeous out!

Edit: I was outside cleaning up the yard 15 mins ago and it was nice.. pretty heavy rain just started lol

Edit 2: It's actually hail! :lawl:

Seeing the warm winters we've had, are you going to buy snow tires this year for lower mainland driving? (Assuming, you don't plan to ski up in the mountains)

Gh0stRider 11-11-2015 05:08 PM

just put on the snow tires today. Next week low temp is hitting 3 degrees
