They didn't salt, they applied their brine solution.

You can see the spray lines on the ground.

I too am in North Burnaby.

Issued at 23:42 Wednesday 16 December 2015
Summary
Snow is possible today over many south coast locales.... Precipitation from the next Pacific front will arrive over the south coast Thursday morning. When precipitation begins, temperatures will be low enough that rain will be mixed with snow over communities near the coast. The major urban areas of the south coast will likely see their first snowflakes of the season. Accumulations near the coast are expected to be minimal and precipitation will change completely to rain by Thursday afternoon. However, where cold air remains trapped over inland regions such as Howe Sound, Whistler, Inland Vancouver Island, and the eastern Fraser Valley, the snow will be longer lasting and more significant snow accumulations are forecast. At least 5 to 10 cm is expected over Inland Vancouver Island, Howe Sound and Whistler. The eastern Fraser Valley will see some snow but it is expected to begin later this afternoon and continue through this evening. TTHE PUBLIC IS ADVISED TO MONITOR FUTURE FORECASTS AND WARNINGS AS WARNINGS MAY BE REQUIRED. PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND WARNINGS FROM ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT Weather Information - Environment Canada Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to pacificstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #BCStorm.
going to take that to mean it'll be cold and rainy today

So, anyone seeing any snow yet? Looking out at the sky here in Abby, the clouds do have a kind of "snow-heavy" look to them.

Snowing at Metrotown Burnaby. Looks like snow is sticking on rooftops of buildings. Streets are fine.
