Not quite snow season yet, but I noticed the city crews have been spraying their brine solution on the roads around SFU Burnaby Mountain.
Overnight temps are supposed to drop down to 3C tonight.

Yes, but that's expected to change as we transition into a La Nina cycle in January/February.

Whereabouts in Kamloops are you?
I am watching real estate in the Juniper development. Sure, down the hill is the highway and a bit of a seedy area. But they have the bike ranch, an ice rink, and an RC track there, so I'll put up with it.

I WANT SNOW!!!!!!

SHOW ME THE SNOW!!!!!!!

I really, really want it to snow like a mofo this year. It brings much joy, while it's still white. I wish I could find the photo of my old Toyota Previa completely covered in snow in the driveway of my Langley home. That was so long ago. It snowed for days. I swear, if it snowed a few more days, we would have had to tunnel our way out. Can anyone remember what year that was? It probably wasn't that much in the Lower Mainland, but in the Lower Fraser Valley, it was a shitload.

Was it 96?

I remember 99 being the year it snowed on a wednesday and it was hell getting home during rush hour because no one had snow tires and no snow forecast so it caught everyone by surprise.

Sounds about right.

I remember almost dying from shovelling mother nature's jizz. I had triple car garage driveway and walkway all around the property. Almost bought a snowblower.......... good thing I didn't, 'cause it hasn't snowed much at all since.

In 96, I remember sleeping over at a friend's place in the High Gate area.
The snow was 2 ft deep. Even his dad's GMC pickup with 4 wheel drive was getting stuck and spinning all 4 wheels.
Worst part of that winter was the freezing rain.
I remember walking down 12th st New West and the road was completely empty. Our umbrellas were so heavy from the ice build up thanks to the freezing rain.

'96 was awesome. We got about 4 feet of snow and my friends and I would basically alternate between playing in the snow and playing Mario Kart 64 all week.

If I recall from my childhood, this was around Christmas? Wicked snowfall in the city that year. Rivals the '08 dump we had. Good times!

2008 is the last time I can remember it snowing pretty hard in Vancouver.

This year I'm finally going to pay up for a set of winter tires for my SUV - watch it not snow at all!

Found this website.........

Snowfall over the Last 25 Years (annual data) for Vancouver

you can input all kinds of parameters like type of precipitation, wind, temperature, droughts, extreme events, time periods, etc.

They even let/give you permission to embed link in your webpage.

I'm in Lower Sahali. Juniper isn't a bad area, lots of stuff to do around there.
