Yes the Comcast guy caused a traffic hazard.. but isn't it the drivers' responsibility to drive at the speed suitable to the weather condition? eg Complaining if your car rear ended the person in front because you didn't leave enough space in front of you?
Pretty sure the video will clear Comcast more than anything. Wide open road, go fast, no snow tires.. | I was reading the comments on Reddit and someone said that those vehicles needed the speed in order to make it over the hill or risk getting stuck and sliding back down. It doesn't look like much of a hill to me, but indeed you do need momentum on snow/ice covered hills. They should have had signs and cones laid out over that hill and in front of the truck as well, with sign people to control traffic.

The workers stated that they only need 1 cone per 10 mph, so that is what they put out, no more no less. Unfortunately, the majority of society has very limited critical thinking skills and do not know how to apply them on a daily basis. Yes, your manual says to lay out a certain number of cones, but obviously you are a hazard for incoming traffic and should be considering geographic and weather conditions.

given that comcast is already one of the most hated companies, this isnt going to help.
even with their lack of concern for others, what kind of moron would go up in a bucket truck while thats happening, theyre lucky people are hitting the ditch instead of them. if i fucked up that bad at work i could be held personally liable. this is what happens when you get poorly paid and poorly trained people
im sure the news/comcast/OSHA will be all over this.

Grouse looked as pretty as it's ever looked last night around 4pm. Wish I had my DSLR I pulled over and found a park to take a picture because it was so nice

When you gotta buy car parts from someone living in Chilliwack and had to reschedule to an earlier date so you wouldn't be stuck in the snow

Forecasts outside of 3 days are unreliable at best. They're probably just taking the average temps for anything past Sunday.

If you go to Cypress website, they have some daily promos. If you're lucky, you could hit a cheap lift ticket day (usually a weekday). Daily Deals ? Cypress Mountain Resort |

You leave it plugged in as long as the car is outside? That's what people do on the other side of the rockies.
Depends on the age of your car, you might want to trickle charge your battery too. Quote:

I've been loving the sun but can't wait for rain and milder temps... Quote:
Issued at 16:17 Thursday 15 December 2016
Snow and rain this weekend for the south coast.
A Pacific front will reach the British Columbia coast late Saturday. Snow will develop in the evening over the south coast and continue Sunday.
A second stronger Pacific front will approach Sunday afternoon with snow continuing. The Arctic air that has been with us for nearly two weeks will finally be flushed out by milder Pacific air. Snow will gradually change to rain beginning Sunday night. As usual, snowfalls will be highly variable with higher amounts expected inland and over higher terrain.
For Metro Vancouver and most south coast areas a complete change-over to rain is likely by midday Monday. In eastern sections of the Fraser Valley and from Squamish to Whistler the temperatures will remain low enough that snow may persist all day Monday. During the change there will be a risk of freezing rain for the Fraser Valley, Howe Sound, and inland communities of Vancouver Island including Port Alberni.
Moderate rainfall in combination with melting snow could cause localized flooding on Monday.
