god, after all the snow melt, the sand and shit is all left over on the small streets. WTF. riding season for me has started but it's like riding a bike on a fucking beach near the water.

ZN6 01-20-2017 01:42 PM

Also, forget pot holes, it's like trenches in all the small side streets. wtf.

Armind 01-20-2017 01:43 PM

It's not riding season :troll:

ZN6 01-20-2017 01:44 PM

For me it is.

I wanted the snow prior, but now I hope our weather stays like this. Hit a huge pothole and blew out the sidewall on my winters. Driving on PSS up front and winters in the rear now. :heckno:

Might as well wait till next year to buy a new set of 4?

jeedee 01-21-2017 02:52 PM

fuking potholes EVERYWHERE :fuuuuu:

Depends what car and what condition the old snow tires are. If it's just 2wd, if the old snow tires are still above 7/32" tread depth, you could get away with running the old ones up front and get two new snows for the rear. But if it's an AWD car, sometimes they are very sensitive to mixing tires with different tread depths

Berzerker 01-21-2017 04:11 PM

I was in Van this week and I can't believe how fast all the snow melted. I flew in Wed night. Wow. If I hadn't known about it I would never have believed Snowmageddon actually happened.

Berz out.

This!! Driving slowly and scanning the road is the only way to avoid them.

I managed to hit a big one last week night time by langara college.

I'm surprised I didn't have a blow out. Drove by it again and its patched over

Old tires are several years old but around 5-6/32. I was going to get a full set of 4 no matter what but i'm on the fence whether to buy now, or in summer/fall when michelin has another rebate program.

i wish... in the middle of the night and early morning in this pissing rain and little street lighting they are almost impossible to see especially when they are full of water :(

i finally got to see that monster pothole on knight st. yesterday. it's the size of a smart car. i can see how that poor motorist blew out all four tires hitting that thing. COR filled it full of ashpalt but didn't compact it or anything so it's already falling apart... i'm expecting to hear about this one again soon.

Ah, that's what that was this morning. I went northbound over the Knight street bridge and there was a serious multi car accident on the south end along with 3-4 fire engines and more police. Then at the same time on the north end, there was the hazmat incident with 4 fire engines and a couple of police cars.

Glad I was heading north and not south.

One of co workers did a 180 while speeding down gatensbury in coquitlam around the hilly part:lawl:

luckily he didn't hit anything

Oshiguru 01-28-2017 08:54 PM

Speaking of snow. Canadian tire has 30% off most winter tires. Just decided to buy a set xi3 as it saves me $300 on the size i run

Maybe you'll get to test them out next weekend. We're supposed to get a bit more snow Fri/Sat.
