Many roads are gonna be like ice rinks tomorrow with snow today and freezing rain overnight.

Just doing their due diligence. People pay their taxes for these reasons.

It's easier to shut people up by salting early than it is to shut them up after it's snowed 3cm and have them whining that they've been in a car accident because of the slippery roads not being salted.

It's been snowing for 24 hours in Squamish, over 9" here in Squamish thus far and still coming down hard, cars are getting stuck in Brittania northbound on the 99. Just a bad day to travel up the Sea to Sky.
