Damn it snowed heavy overnight. Had a hell of a time getting out of my neighbourhood this morning, almost didn’t make it.
Then I realized I left my parking brake on |

The snow we're having right now is very easy to manoeuvre -- basically a soft and slightly powdery / damp fluffy snow. As long as you know what you are doing and how much traction you have, I'd say the snow we're getting now is as easy to drive as snowy roads get.

nah it gets hard as a puck you're a gigantic cheap-ass without space for dedicated winters when it averages a week of 1cm of snow in the city Quote:

If you don't do spirited summer driving and you can't have 2 sets, consider all-weather tires. Those are more similar to winter tires in terms of construction and they have the snowflake symbols on them. Nokian WRG3 was pretty good when I had it for my Accord V6. I only got stuck at the bottom a very slushy and steep hill, but otherwise it's great.

I did get stuck in the deep stuff, like you said

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk | There is the ride height issue. Your Bimmer is lowered, and my stock Accord Coupe wasn't very high off the ground, either. As long as the snow isn't too deep, all-weather will do very well.
Remember that since all-weather is closer to winter tires, so summer performance will not be as great. That's why I have 2 sets now; I want the best grip and handling in the summer.

I think I did a good deed last night, helped the next door neighbor shovel their driveway as they struggled with a dirt shovel and a small snow shovel.
This morning's commute in Richmond was pretty interesting... Folks driving +50k cars with 2/3 of their windshield covered.
Friday's snow day. Totaaally safe!
