I had to pass a fishtailing unmarked police cruiser on Knight St on my way to work this morning.

Had no problems with sliding or anything, but then, I drive an impreza with snow tires.

I'm looking forward to an extra healthy dumping of snow throughout the day. I really hope this doesn't turn to rain.

Berzerker 11-25-2010 09:48 AM

Shoveled the driveway for the first time this season.... It's nice when it's light and fluffy. :D

Berz out.

drove to cap today at 730am from south burnaby, i have some shitty all seasons on, with maybe 50% tread and i had no problems, got there and back without a hitch. I have a feeling this is nothing compared to whats coming...

coolhwip 11-25-2010 09:52 AM

Drove from Richmond to SFU Burnaby, no problems at all. Audi A4 with snow tires handled it very well...Even when a snow plow in front of me on highway 91 plowed snow onto my lane; Smart car behind me kept fishtailing, luckily he kept a safe distance from me.

suppose to rain + snow in the afternoon

its gonna be nasty

Alatar 11-25-2010 09:53 AM

We've shoveled the driveway at the shop 3 times already this morning. We also had to cancel a few appointments and not loan out the courtesy cars in this weather. Last thing we need is a wrecked courtesy car because some customer doesn't know how to drive in the snow.

@TRDood, it's still coming down hard at Knight/Kingsway, and covering/sticking everywhere.

I've driven up the Coquihalla in blizzards before, with all season tires in a turbocharged FWD car. That's rather sketchy. This is nothing compared to that.

Euro7r 11-25-2010 09:59 AM

Shoveled the snow earlier and now the ground is covered again.

I've decided 225 wide tires aren't very good for snow, even though they're snow tires. Lol. Langley sucks right now...

MindBomber 11-25-2010 10:12 AM

How bad is Langley?

Was thinking about heading out to Kwantlen to get homework done..

Qmx323 11-25-2010 10:15 AM

holy fack its bad

Great68 11-25-2010 10:15 AM

I'm loving the Limited Slip in the MS3. For a Turbo FWD car, it goes great in the snow.

RevRav 11-25-2010 10:18 AM

I thought we were only suppose to get 5-10cm of snow LOL and then turn into rain sometime mid-afternoon. Now weather network say:
Thursday Afternoon: close to 10cm
Thursday Evening: close to 10cm

24-Hour Precipitation Outlook
15-20 cm of snow from Thursday Afternoon to Friday Morning

less than 1cm on Friday
less than 1cm on Saturday
close to 1cm on Sunday
1-3cm on Monday....

Mr.JDM 11-25-2010 10:22 AM

Urghh the amount of stupid drivers. Specially richmond. Weaving in and out of traffic goin 60km/h. Are you serious?

So long as you avoid 200th St between Hwy 1 and 64th, you should be fine. Major accident at 74'ish involving a flipped SUV. The rest of the city is mostly fine, though the snow is still piling up on the roads.

After one day, I've decided that my old 185/50/15 Toyo Proxy4's are MUCH better than my 225/40/18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22's.

Damn.

:lol

I have really bad negative camber in the rear, snow tires aren't helping AT ALL.
